  1. I like working with Modis. Another good shop is Staffing Innovations. I don't like working with TekSystems. Send me an email if you want some names and numbers.
  2. Congrats to The Polar Bear for finding #600 today. Log for #600
  3. Didn't Flagman get a one hour shopping pass at Sea World a couple of years ago? Perhaps they still have the same arrangement. You can park for free on a city street just east of the parking lot. If you don't need much time there and they still offer the the pass, it might be a way to get in. Oh, and don't forget to get your 2 cups of free beer.
  4. Cache_kid wants to place a cache in MTRP called "I surrender". I'm not sure if that will be enough. My last foray at MTRP left me with only 16 caches to do. Now I have over 50. The brightside to this is that I only have 40 left to get my 1000. You know where I will be heading the next time I get the chance to cache.
  5. It would appear that the game has been concluded with the team of Duncan! and Gobolts! completing the challenge and winning the prize. Any other competitors wishing to protest their victory, speak now or forever hold your peace. Protest period ends at noon tomorrow, Friday April 14, 2006. -MR Less than a week and they covered a lot of territory: Sherlock Holmes and the Case of the Dancing Men (FTF) Adrenaline Cache Peanuts Cache Red Rocks Two Crows Forbidden Forest/Anna's Birthday Cache Mississippi River Cache/Know Your Friends The Hunt For Red October Super-Secret Dan-oh Cache Letters To Santa Three Sisters - Scripps (FTF) Pirate's Treasure! Congrats! Wish you would have made it a puzzle or something. I found out about the contest after the winners already had half the finds, so, I didn't even bother participating at that point. An active premium-member cacher who doesn't participate in the forums didn't even know about the contest till yesterday - when I mentioned it to him. No, I'm not protesting the victory, only the manner in which it was advertised. Hey Chuy!: What do you suggest that Marko should have done different? What more advertising should he have done? Where? If this was an everyday cacher such as Flagman and not an GC administrator would you have the same protest? I'm curious if a GC Administrator doing something on his/her own should be held to some high standard of notification for when they want to do something fun for the GC community.
  6. Duncan!, Gobolts! and tigger's mango are running away with it. Anyone else seriously in the game? Well, I would but you waited for me to take a weeks vacation in AZ. On the upside, cache density out here is incredible, the weather is nice and the family has been putting up with me.
  7. and the card has been picked up.... So...a month has gone by. The card still shows in Devil's Jump Off and no new card has been produced. What's up with that? Inquiring minds want to know.
  8. GMTA ooooh! A list, I feel a puzzle coming on.....
  9. I usually don't like to quote my own posts here but I have two reasons to do so. One, the answer I needed was provided by Conerstone 4 and I thought someone else might benefit from it, the other was to try and get the page to bump over to the next number so we wouldn't have to look at gross TT elbow images. so...the answer to my question is. Go to the GeoCoin club page and fill out the information. Simple.
  10. I received my Bike Dog coin today. I'm impressed with final results. It is one hefty smashed penny! I'm just curious, how do I activate the coin to turn it into a travel bug? I went to the travel bug activate screen but I don't have an activation code. Am I going to the right place?
  11. Since I never make it out to Max's Favorite Park quick enough, I thought I would simply drive out to Borrego and get some cards there. I liberated a #28(PW) and its mis-print from J&R along with a #29 (BRA). For those of you willing to risk life and limb , there are a set of these in The Basilisk. I guess you could use the Flagman and Ruscal route and take the risk out of it.
  12. I've adopted my third cache. This one needed some re-working. I know a few of you wanted to do this cache so I hope you like how it has turned out. When you get a chance try out Bricks II
  13. A HUGE THANKS TO TOMBMAKER for finding my IPAQ!!! Now if someone comes up with The Dillon Gangs new Garmin 60CS at Spamalicious all will be right with the world again. Geocaching world that is. Happy New Year to ALL.
  14. Hi Everyone- I'd like to enlist anyone's help who might be caching in the Scripps Ranch/Poway/Sabre Springs area tomorrow. I seem to have lost my IPAQ PDA somewhere near Sea Monkey Central (GCJNKV) or the park that is nearby. Other caches where I might have lost it are Tanker Tanker and 10th Birthday cache (GCGE0D) both of these are at the nearby park. If you find it please let me know.
  15. I'm a software developer. One of my supervisors a few years back named our group "Devheads" and we would put this on all the software we wrote. Well, my old boss is gone and so is most of our group but I liked the name.
  16. Took a Parsa card #13 from Bear Valley Loop-View of the Tracking Station.
  17. Picked up a YMS#24 misprint while at Max's Park this morning, left a San Diego Geocachert pin. Only 1 Chuy remains Not anymore, I picked up the last Chuy card and one Flintstones misprint. There are a bunch of Flintstones cards in the cache.
  18. And living in what must be the most perfect caching county in the world with the best geo-friends imaginable. Cache on indeed! -GD for Team Gecko Very well written Tom and Don. I'm thankful for all the aspects of the game, friends, hikes, vistas, challenges and ofcourse, mucking around all over San Diego. Happy turkey day to all.
  19. Dillon Gang handed me a Flintsones card and we both picked up Vulture cards from We've ony just begun near the Hotel Del Coronado.
  20. I stopped by Max's Favorite Park today after a wonderful time riding bikes with the family up at the lake. Wow, it was a nice day to be out and about. Anyhooo...this was my first visit to the cache since it had been moved and re-hidden. Way cool! Nice job, too bad water still makes it inside the main container. I did liberate a Duncan! regular and misprint cards, a couple of them still exist in the cache. Thanks Flagman!
  21. Hey, I've figured out at least 4 of the 7 songs listed on the clue! As I predicted, all of the song titles so far have numbers in them. I'm going to see a piano playing friend today so I'll ask him to help out a little. There's one song that I recognize as a more current hit, but I don't know the name of it! Well when I do get them all I can taunt you....oh...the power.....the power! TT may not be happy about me mentioning this... However, there are atleast 3 discs out in the wild, or were at one time. I've put out two of them and I know who put out the other one. One was realeased in MTRP and one in Encinitas, not sure about the 3rd disc. Look for a CD labled, "Tucson Thompsen's Favorite Hits". However, 1 CD had no writing on it at all.
  22. Oh...no... I have done it again Take another look... Looks like you have been pulled into a urination olympics. Take the high road, go to sleep happy knowing you got there first. My $.02...
  23. I liberated 'The Dillon Gang' and a 'Trailgators' cards from Transcendental Meditation. Still one DAK Girls card in the cache. Thanks Tom for putting these out. I'm happy to get a card I helped design.
  24. This would be great. I am training for a marthon so anytime I can get an amble with a group the better. Well Dr. B. Since you brought it up....I've been waiting for the right moment to mention this fund raiser . Not exactly a run, but hey, bike riding is healthy too. Dan-oh are you going to be ghost riding again this year? last year was fun, every year is fun. Lets see how many GCers we can get on two wheels and do a few night caches while raising money for a good cause, oh and getting some exercise too!
