  1. When I retire from sitting around all day reading the Groundspeak forum threads waiting for new geocoins to come out I plan to get a retirement job at Walmart as a greeter too:) Some previous jobs I had were: Independent Living Counselors aide, an Independent Living Counselor, customer service rep for a credit card company (that was real fun, not!), I also used to take orders for all the junk you see on tv that has an 800 number attatched to it (I used to sell Jerry Springer videos:( ) at a teleservices company.
  2. I was just wondering, excluding trades, gifts and geocoins that you have created. How many coins does a geocoin collector purchase for their collection per week? For us we have been collecting since Sept 1 at our local annual group picnic which is where we bought our first coin and now with the shipment I'm expecting this week we should have close to 20 coins of which I would say maybe half were actually bought. That's for a month and half. There are so many coins coming out (especially this month) of which we will probably be purchasing, I was just wondering is this normal for each month? Having so many coins come out at one time. If so, we are going to be so broke:(
  3. I've just been adding our coin list to our profile page. I've asked people to look at our profile page in the signature line. I'm already spending enough money on the coins themselves without paying to add them to a list on a site. If anyone knows of a free site that I can link to in the signature line please pm me. Thanks
  4. There was a pic on here the other day but I guess he took it off?
  5. AAAWWW! He is so cute. We have a boxer that lives next door to us now. His name is Stain, lol. Guess why? Chip's cousin lives next door and is his owner or should I say his land lord:)
  6. Looks like he's on the West Coast? Phooey! Wish that spooky little coin would come out here to the Va east coast:)
  7. Oh I know, we have wanted one ever since we first saw it. It really is a beautiful coin in a lot of ways.
  8. These would be cool as a mystery coin sinc they have to deal with luck.
  9. I look forward to doing this one too. I'm already in the Thanksgiving one.
  10. Looks like CCC is being very mysterious. I can't find any caches that he has found or any clue on where they could be placed? Maybe he's a ghost?
  11. I would have to agree with mousekakat here - this one has been at the top of my wish list for a while now. T1 I am so glad you like our coin. Right now I do not have any but,,,, we will be geting more in in Nov. when we get the Ultimate DNF's in. Remind me and we will get one out. This dream came true for us today thanks to imchasingshadows. Thank you Nancy:)
  12. Dreams really CAN come true! Opened my mail today to find a beautiful Earth Turtle coin! This little guy will always be treasured! Well, I'm jealous, I've wanted one of those for a good while:)
  13. That's a very good question. I've been wondering the same thing.
  14. I love urban micros or bigger ones because they are much easier for us wheelchair users to get to usually.
  15. Very nice, another coin to get on our list! Our poor pocket book and wallet!
  16. I've seen quite a few people in this forum who are having trouble with finding out where to get activation codes for their coins so I've decided what I am going to do is each time we receive a coin and activate it, I am putting the information of where I got the code in the description part of the coin page on our profile page. This way if we have a coin that you have just acquired and don't know where to activate it you can look at our list and see if we have that coin and find out where to get the codes. We have not been collecting long so I went back and did this for all the coins we now have activated. I would encourage all new collectors to do this too and post here to let everyone know that they have the activation code info for their coins as well. I realize it would be much more difficult for people with a lot of coins to do this now but if you happen to put that info on your coin info please post it here. I know there is at least one link in this forum that has a bunch posts with info on where to get a code for the coins asked about; but I think it is much easier to look at the icons on someones list and get the information you need that way instead of trying to read through a bunch of posts. You may want to request to put us in your friend list so that you can easily access our coin information.
  17. Can anyone tell me where to get the activation code for The Ultimate Cache Coin? I know it is made through TNT but I can't seem to figure out where to get the code?
  18. Does anyone know where I can get the activation code for the Ultimate Cache coin? I know they are through TNT but I can't seem to find an activation site? I think what I am going to do since I am new to collecting geocoins and don't have too many yet is post where to get activation codes in the description on each of my activated coins so that fellow cachers can retrieve the info fast if they have the same coin as I do. Any help is appreciated.
  19. Today was another good geocoin day:) Received: Road Trip coin from Penny Packer from the cointest. Thank you:) The Ultimate Cache as a wonderful gift from imchasingshadows - Thank you so much for your generosity Nancy:) And, a I Love Geocoins coin from the e place - Thank you seller:)
  20. Ok, the term "sockpuppet"? What does that mean? I guess if you don't know what it means you may be one? Has any Mystery Coin been placed in the Hampton Roads, VA area? I don't own any but I have heard of a few of them. Also, do people just drop them in a cache and not post it until it is found or is it common for someone to drop it and log it as dropping them into a cache and then people rush out to get it? Looks like it would be a nicer surprise to find it without knowing it was there at all? I've also heard about them being sent in the mail too, is that a common practice too?
  21. Same here, thought it was just my computer, glad to see it's not.
  22. To save repeatng things, take a look at the post in this thread by FollowMeChaps Very Nice D & G I didn't realize that was what that pledge coin was about. That is a very good idea. If everyone who placed just a few caches made at least one of them wheelchair accessible then there would be a whole more cachers in the world.
