i am eddthejailer i am a jailer in paoli indiana.i also do reserve deputy work when i get the time or they need the help.i cache when i can as pften as i can.i have 57 finds and have been looking for them for about 5 months.i take my 6 year old girl with me when i go if not with others as well.i just logged my first hide and its the first one you see if you search under zip code 47454 paoli indiana.i hope to have some 5-5 out soon with some real nice supplies for e-1.thanks so much e-1 for this great pastime!!!

lol funny you mention the blown glass.my first find earlier in 2003..lol almost said earlier this year...duhwas kewl tree a members only cache and when i found it i placed a hand blown glass figure from holiday world here in indiana.the glass cat was never logged as taken from the cache and unfortunatly the cache has since been destroyed by someone urinating in the container and now is gone so i never will know if someone found and took my glass kitty

still have the ammo?? i would like one for my ammo aollection...lol

i dont think they meant a backup for ceocaching.com but a backup to geocaching.com if it were to start charging e-1 20 buxx a month to use the site or the powers that be made some unlivable rules we as a sport would have a backup to this site so we wouldnt have to give up the sport we love.no i personally dont use that site and i love this one...but....this site cant think its the only choice we have or they might start a monthly fee for us all...thank god for the freedom of choice in the great u.s.a and on the net no matter where you live.oh and yes i am a paying member of geocaching.com and i think its the best 3 buxx i spend a month.wtg the powers that be.and yes i am supprised this thread is here but on the other hand it just shows that this site is sooooo much better at this time that the compitition.

my favorite thing so far has been a 2 car set of hotwheels in the plastic display case.

i think your asking if every member in your group....ie..both kids can trade items at the same cache.my answer to that is of course they can.if your "team"finds a cache i would say and often do myself have each person take one item and each person leave one item.it would not be fun for my daughter if i only let her trade items at every other cache.and as far as that goes if they find a cache that one of them finds 2 things they just cant live without as i have done before just have them leave 2 things or one thing better than both of the things he or she took.as long as you leave the cache better than you found it i see no problems at all.my advise is bring a bag of trade items for each kid in your group with items varying in value..lots of trinkets and 2 or so $5.00-$10.00 items just in case you find something really nice you want to take from the cache.

ok.ok let me try to shed some light for you vader and for all the cachers supporting him.first off i have no conection with colorado cavers or vader or anyone for that matter.i am a caver and i am a cacher.belive me people they do not mix.caving is dangerous and should never be attempted alone.caching is a family sport and is enjoyed by kids of all ages.i like caches by caves but caches in caves.....no no no my friends.the last thing i want to see in a cave is trash or anything that dosent belong there.this is not an issue in my area.and if i hear much more of this anti-caver talk i may become an anti-cacher myself.please people if your not into caving you really dont need to be around them...nor leading non cavers to caves.i am beginning to see why parks and national lands are not allowing caching in there lands.and face it people some cachers are so rude and careless on how they trod thru whatever they need too to get there numbers up for that day.

well first off as a cacher i have been on vacation b-4 and found bugs that i didnt reesearch and they had no info on them so i was afraid of taking them in the wrong direction so i left them.when i got back home they were wondering t/b's and i would have loved to had them so i think these info papers and baggies are great ideas and i will start doing the same to the ones i find.i think it will do nothing other than halp the bug along also i have seen rubber duckies molded by water that could have been saved with a baggie so there is my 2 cents worth.

well first off i think barbie is a childs toy with no real lower parts true her top is heavy in the older models but still seeing a nakked barbie isnt offensive to me..its a toy for kids but i do agree if i did see a unclothed barbie as a t/b i would cloth it b-4 i put it back out.and i have never seen or heard of this monkey but i assume it is an adult novelty toy and not intended for kids to see.as WE ALL KNOW caching is a family sport and as such would be inapropriate.i also feel that this is a light fun filled sport.please let it stay that way.. dont start new posts bringing out the worst parts of this sport just to see peps get riled up!!if you want to improve the sport and keep it family oriented if it is questionable dont put it in a cache.there are plenty of sites and places for monkeys with big parts...and i might even laugh at it if i got a picture of it in an email but i sure wouldnt if i was caching with my 6 year old daughter and she found it and asked me what it was so please people think before you place these things.

hey there e-1.i am new to the idea of placing a cache and i have read the what to do link on this site but just wanted to hear it in plain english one more time so i am sure i got everything right!i know where i want to put it and i know the rules that i need to follow on placing but i need help on how to report it and who to report it too.also my gps is a magellan 310 and only shows n 38' 43.61 and 086' 41.24(not the actual coords)i noticed all listings have another number at the end so you can get closer?is this last number manditory?can i make a reasonable guess on it?or??????does my gps have the ability to show the last number and i just dont know how to use it???lol ty all for your time.go team lethal aggression!!!!
