  1. I placed my first cache yesterday - and I thought it was the perfect spot. When I submitted it, the reviewer let me know that the end of a puzzle cache was only 500 feet away. Since I suck at puzzles, there was no way for me to know that. So back out there and re-hid, same thing happened. Is there a way to put in the coords of a possible hiding place to see if it's in a clear spot? I find myself driving out there, going home and waiting, back out there, etc (you get the idea). It seems like a bad system. Is there a better way? Thank you!
  2. I'd love to know what your major pet peeve is! I'm new, ya know
  3. Ok - so if I find a trackable, I can just log it as "visited" for the rest of the caches I find during that outing?
  4. The owner of the TB thinks it's a great idea to take it to Virginia when I'm there. I will find a good premium cache to put it in. Also, I've noticed that some trackables state that they only want their bugs to be held for a max of 3 days, etc. Which is fine. So much to learn *sighs loudly*.
  5. Well aren't you helpful?! Thank you!!
  6. We found our first trackable yesterday, a travel bug (we're new). So, this TB started in South Africa in 2008 and has found itself in Portland, Oregon - needless to say we're pretty excited. Anyway, my question is: how long is too long to wait to put it back out there? It's been in Oregon and Washington for years, and I'm going to Virginia in 6 weeks... is that too long to hang onto it? I could put it back in the Portland area today, but it would be more fun to see it go further. What do you think? Thanks! Mel
