  1. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Why am I seeing a quote from another thread ?
  2. I know its early days yet but has anyone used this macro with the new release GSAK v7. I don't want to upgrade and find that I have broken one of the most useful macros that I use. Cheers.
  3. After attending a few events last year on my own. I now feel quite depressed.
  4. Ah......NOW the answer comes into my head
  5. I've only one cache to log and the server's too busy. :-(
  6. A cheap palm will hold your cache info and logs. £10-£20 (secondhand) Cachemate $8 USD GSAK. $25 USD.
  7. You need to setup your P550 to share Com4 Click start then Settings. Open the System tab. Click on the GPS icon Set the GPS program port to COM4 <------ this is the port you use to let MM TomTom, Cachemate etc share the GPSr. Set the GPS hardware port to COM2 baud rate 4800 <----- This is the port that the GPSr uses. On the access tab make sure that the Manage GPS automatically box is checked. Then all you need is to set Memory Map, TomTom and Cachemate to use COM4. Don't forget TomTom and Cachemate can not open this port and you will need to open Memory Map first. (You will not have an option in TomTom for COM4 until you open Memory Map first.)
  8. Working settings can be found in this thread. As soon as I get time I'll put them up on a web page, as this topic keeps popping up every now and then.
  9. Do you have a link to the patch. All I get is a 404 error.
  10. Don't know how easy it is to take the battery out of these, try leaving it out overnight. Is it still under warranty? If so then I would ask for a replacement.
  11. /me spits coffee out all over the keyboard
  12. When one posts a log as "Needs Archiving" does the owner receive notice of the log ?
  13. Just a couple of thoughts. Is your battery low, try connecting it to the USB power for it to charge. When my battery is very low I don't even get a power light when it is charging. Switch off with the on off switch and leave it off for 10 mins or so before switching back on. Is your memory card seated ok. Remove this and see if the mio boots up without the card in, a faulty card may stop to PDA from booting up.
  14. It was an old weather satellite ahh but the debris may fly right by sat12 and we'll all be screwed!!! Good point. I'll add that to my next DNF logs
  15. I knew it was the right decision to work from home today
  16. Maybe we could have two new moderators to look after the pinned topics
  17. A little out of your way but how about Pink Wood ?
  18. What did the owner say when you pointed out the typos ?
  19. As you already have Memory Map. Why don't you spend a few more £'s and Buy a PDA with built in GPS ?
  20. I live near Wigan. We even have a cache at the Pier ;-)
