  1. I found this - I did overlook it the first time I have done the same thing from start to finish and had the same outcome as the first time. The Ranger Fox Edits gave me the error messages within the app, and still wanted me to go to the start point. Your fix gives me an error message when I upload. Do I have any other options for making this very simple game Play Anywhere, or do I need to learn Urwigo - which I kinda wish I had of done a week ago as this is now due to be released for an event tomorrow..
  2. I am working with his file downloaded from the Wherigo foundation. I have started from the beginning again... Thanks for your help, I"ll go back over everything
  3. When I had the pins over my house to test it worked fine.. I have tried adding your original script, but it still wanted me to go to the starting location. I changed it for your alternate text, but when uploading on Wherigo i get this error: "Error Occurred Exception of type 'System.ApplicationException' was thrown."
  4. I did test using the iPhone Wherigo app! ? Interestingly, I don't have that complete script you mention originally in my lua.. I only have the first line: "function MoveZonesRelativeToCentroid(zcart, newCentroid, oldCentroid)" I have included the above, and I no longer have error messages, however it still wants me to go to the starting point to begin. -Thanks
  5. Hello! It is very interesting seeing this coding! I have very carefully worked through your steps which are very clear, thank you! I have saved the updated lua, and uploaded the new cartridge, but when playing I get the following two pop ups: "Lua Alert: Don't know how to call '<null>'" and "Lua Alert: luaNext: first parameter is not a table" If i hit OK on both of those errors, the cartridge opens but still wants me to go to the starting coordinates which as are virtual point and in the middle of a reserve and can't be accessed - which is why I would really like to get this "play anywhere" working! Thanks for helping! -Sam
  6. I have been there already - the Maps did not load, I also saw that another Aussie user on that thread hit the same snag as me.
  7. Thanks, Unfortunately, it seems like the only one I can figure out how to use (sort of), and can accommodate what I need text wise... Seems I have hit another wall...
  8. I would really like it to be play anywhere.. I am hoping I can find a way to do this despite not having much programming experience.. I have now downloaded the Wherigo builder, and the patch to open on my system. I've imported a few games to see how they work in there. I even tried to recreate something similar from a shared Play Anywhere cartridge, but even in the Wherigo builder the "Play Anywhere" box is unavailable despite being a play anywhere cartridge..?? Am I missing something here? I'm still feeling hopeful that I will get something to work!
  9. I just encountered this same problem! Thank you, your fix worked a treat! I can now open my cartridge, but I cannot use the emulator... Is there a work around for this?
  10. That would be amazing! Thank you.. a brief how-to about where to stick that code would also be great if possible! -Sam
  11. I did ask this question in another thread, but it may be better to ask in here.. I'm in the process of creating a simple cartridge - I used Kit, Questions and Answers template. I want the game to be played wherever it is opened. I have clicked on the "play anywhere" after moving it over to Wherigo, but I am assuming I am missing a step? If you could help, it would be very much appreciated! -Sam
  12. I created a basic game - but I seemed to have missed a step somewhere. I selected Play Anywhere after importing it into Wherigo but it still wants me to go to the start point. What have I done wrong?
  13. I was wondering if "learn" was possible to do.... Do you know if Urwigo has the Play Anywhere option for this type of game? I will be creating it from a distance so I will need that ability with whatever I end up doing.
  14. I would like to create a Play Anywhere cartridge based on the old "insult to win" games I remember playing as a kid. The two I recall were, Monkey Island and the sword fight pirates where one pirate would shout out an insult, and you had to pick from a list of comebacks, and only by picking the best comeback could you advance to becoming a sword master. Another I vaguely recall was insult arm wrestling. I have been downloading and looking at Play Anywhere cartridges online for build ideas and I think the layout would work, but this is my first attempt at a Wherigo so I have very little knowledge beyond my reading and playing. What I am wondering is; Firstly, do you think this is possible? and if so, what is the best platform to use. I have had a fiddle with Wherigo Kit this morning looking at their Lights Out & Questions and Answer Cartridges. 15. I didn't get selected for the promo, but I am organising some labs for an upcoming Mega event. I was curious, is there a word limit for each location within the adventure? I haven't been able to find this information online and do not yet have access to the builder.
