  1. Hi, I have been reading this thread looking for some hope that I can use my new Samsung Omnia (i910) for caching. I had a long discussion with Verizon and Samsung to find out why VZ Navigator works but not my geocaching or google maps programs. Come to find out Verizon blocks all other programs from using the location on part of the gps in the phones so you have to buy their VZ Navigator (which is only for street directions) BOOOO!! I have lamented to the Verizon customer service reps to no avail. Maybe we can start a revolution of Verizon geocachers and have them change their ways. I really don't want to change providers. Do any of you have any thoughts on this?
  2. What you have to do is not unzip the files, transfer the entire .cab file over, and then run the "program manager" on the smartphone, aim it at the .cab file, and run it, that will install cachemate. That's what I did, and it installed just fine, but now I can't figure out how to use it. I found an old thread that mentions a readme.htm file, but that did not come with mine, and I can find it. The cachemate site is kind of sparse on documentation. Do you have another program that you use instead of cachemate?
  3. I need some techy help. I have downloaded cachemate for my new smartphone (samsung omnia) and have unzipped each file, but I can't for the life of me get it to install and/or open it. I am probably missing something simple. Any suggestions? Thanks
  4. I haven't received any notifications from Groundspeak in the last 2 days. No notifications of my caches being found or travel bugs being logged. I'm having withdrawl symptoms!!
  5. I actually saw the auction on ebay, notified the owner of the roller tb of which I could read the number and let him know it was on ebay.
  6. Congratulations! Now for the rest of the world on the Verizon network who can't use Iphones yet.... Let me know when you have a blackberry or lg version. Great news, though.
  7. I would also be interested in the group ammo can purchase. I have a pickup and could deliver them somewhere in Tacoma area. The shipping on out of area purchases does hinder the process. Lock and locks are nice but I love ammo cans!
