  1. Your link doesn't work because of a period at the end of the CG#. Look at the right side of the cache page under the inventory of trackables. There are 2 bookmark lists, you can run a pocket query from either of them.
  2. You could ask the park manager if they would allow any physical caches in some areas of the park. The National Park Service has relaxed their prohibition on caches on their property. It is now up to the park manager to decide if caches are permitted. There are several series of caches in my area on NPS property. The NPS even wanted their logo on the cache pages.
  3. Both of those series are on Bookmark lists. On any of the cache pages, there is a link to the Bookmark list. At the bottom of the Bookmark page, there is a button to create a Pocket Query. That PQ will include only the caches on the list. If a series is not on a Bookmark list, it's a lot more work.
  4. That is a Traditional cache. You can't add your own personal coordinates to a Traditional.
  5. You should email contact@geocaching.com and explain your situation. Nobody in the forums will be able to help you.
  6. There is a period of time to post the logs, but 6-7 months is probably outside the grace period. You can write to contact@geocaching.com and explain the situation. They should be able to help you.
  7. I printed several OSM street maps yesterday with no problems. I just scrolled the map to the spot I wanted and clicked File->Print and it came out fine. Print Preview also works. I'm using Firefox 10, but I don't have any suggestions to try.
  8. Did the waypoints load with the closed treasure chest symbol? You may need to set the gps to use that symbol for the geocaching functions. I don't have a Legend hcx, but the process may be close to the older 60 series. Main menu-Setup-Geocache and select the closed treasure chest symbol for unfound caches and the open chest symbol for the found caches.
  9. Waypoints are stored in the internal memory, not on the memory card. The card is mostly used to store additional maps on the gps. You can load caches as Points Of Interest (POI) to the memory card. You can load as many POIs as the card will hold.
  10. I'm not sure how many caches that gps will hold, but my guess would be 1000. When you search for caches, it will only show you the nearest 50. You can search by name or look at the map screen to see the rest on the gps. If you have a storage card installed, you can load them as Points Of Interest (POI) and the number is unlimited.
  11. There is a day time and night time mode. It switches automatically around sunset and dawn. You can turn it off or change the colors for day or night. Menu->Menu->Setup->Display->Colors.
  12. Have you selected the topo maps on the gps? On the map page, press menu and select 'Setup Map'. One of the choices should be 'Map Information-Select Map' You should see a list of all the maps on the gps. Depending what maps you have, you may need to disable all the other maps and enable the topo maps to see them.
  13. How far are the caches from your current location? Your gps will only show caches out to a certain distance, about 100 miles I think. If you search by name you'll probably see them.
  14. You're right, that is crazy. And not in a good way, I would think.
  15. You're still going to have the same problem. The Oregon has a limit of 200 gpx file whether they are on the gps or on the card. Like dfx said, pocket queries are a much better way to load the gps.
  16. If a pocket query returns more than 500 caches, you won't get the file in an email. You need to download the file from the website. Near the top of the pocket query main page there is a tab labeled 'Pocket Queries Ready for Download' to see what queries are available to download.
  17. How was the reviewer supposed to contact the missing cache owner? Their profile is showing 'Not Validated Member', that means the email address on file is bouncing the emails. The reviewer could have sent a dozen messages over a couple months and the result would have been the same, no response. Might as well just pull the plug quickly and get it over with.
  18. http://coord.info/GCM8ND There used to be a second Earthcache there, but it's archived now. It's a cool spot, but I always wondered why the second one got listed.
  19. "The listing has been locked and is not accepting new log entries." I guess there won't be any logging that cache.
  20. Check to make sure the micro sd card is secure. They have been known to get knocked loose.
  21. Have you loaded any detailed maps? The base map is usually not very accurate and could easily be several hundred feet off.
  22. Does a false DNF log mean they found it?
  23. There is a special query to run to get your finds. Near the bottom of this page, click the 'Add to Queue' button. This will return all your finds.
  24. The menu is off the right side of the screen. Scroll to the right to see it.
