  1. Anyone have any more names. The Murder Mystery is November 14th.
  2. Come on Kender we KNOW you have a good story... dhenning25 and I saw you trying to explain to your daughter that daddy needed more time to sign the logbook!!!
  3. I haven't come up with a date. I am free Oct 30th Oct 31st Nov 2nd (yeah, yeah --- I have the day off and can't vote!) Nov 7th Nov 11th Any of these day (pending spouse approval) is good for me.
  4. I often see or meet newbies who don't log DNFs. I usually tell them that it isn't a failure, you only learn from your mistakes, not your successes. I always log DNFs. On of my more memorable DNFS
  5. My wife caught me placing some of her scented candles into an ammo can I was preparing to hide. She got pissed, took them out, but I managed to hide one in the bottom. The cache smells lovely!
  6. Welcome. I am Looking Outfor Silly Things ---- LOST!
  7. Why should this be a cache, how about an event!!! What is this anyway? Louisville is nowhere near here???? Probably never heard of Mike Rowe either, but i know you don't like it when he hides one in the woods!
  8. I did, THAT'S the problem... She will also never forget the Nightsweats geocaching group hunt when I told her 11 p.m. then moved it to 12 a.m. And Kar of Team Shibby and Serg314 had me chatting in the parking lot until 402 a.m.!!!
  9. Cool. Up the cliffs, down the cliffs, up the cliffs, down the cliffs. Can you line up the caches nicely or do we need to keep backtracking.? Can still set it up since MOST OF THE AREA GEOCACHERS don't go on the group hikes in the first place!
  10. Now I wouldn't say that i am 'obsessed' with geocaching, I have the slight urge now and again to go out and find something silly in the woods. I have other interests too, so my geocaching availability is limited. However, none of my hobbies seem to jive with Mrs Avroair. Case in point the Pirates of Harriman event, July 24th. Mrs Avroair asked me what time the event started. 10 a.m. was my response, but I need to be there at 8:30 a.m. to set up. She then asked what time we were finishing, no later than 4 p.m. I said. I promised her dinner out afterwards. Well, at 7:30 p.m. and still standing in the picnic area with no intention of leaving, I was reminded of my obligations. We got home by 9 p.m. I ordered pizza and missed out on going out to dinner with my one true love (my wife in case you guessed wrong). She wasn't pissed, worse, she was disappointed , I was mad at myself. She now brings it up every time I am late past the time I said I would leave.
  11. Congrats to Helmut, Autumn, Ashley, Nikki and Taylor Kreiky! That's alot mate! Diving into the underbrush and grabbing the milestone cache!!! Congrats my friends.
  12. Guess I type too fast for the server to handle Case closed. What happens in the Northeast, stays in the Northeast!
  13. Hey Kev, give me Drew's closest coordinates to his house, I am placing a 5/5 puzzle across the street! The milestone cache is easy, just don't step in the Dino poop!
  14. As I was about to start a new topic thread I got: Board Message Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. The error returned was: Flood control is enabled on this board, please wait 30 seconds before replying or posting a new topic So I back clicked and tried again. 4 times 30 seconds is an eternity to wait on a hot topic! How many people actually count to 30 before trying to post another reply or forum topic?
  15. Anyone interested in hiking at the Ramapo Reservation next Saturday, 30th?
  16. Right the gloves are off! Too difficult. Wait for my 5/5 coming to YOUR area, right around Mahwah!!! If the rain holds off I hope to be up there next weekend.
  17. Magellans are always 70 feet off! My favorite GPS is Garmin Electra Who will be attending the murder mystery!
  18. I haven't done Giant Stairs yet, but I did do it before I started geocaching and that one is a pain! Maybe a Palisades group hike is in store. Also, Jonboy mentioned placing some more caches on Breakneck ridge... might be a cool group hike there too.
  19. I really enjoyed AD's caches EXCEPT those darn ones in the swamps! Cauldrons of Courage was great although we choose poorly! Passaic Hideaway... cool Curse of the Suburban Monkey - Yep. I'm cursed.
  20. Congrats! Good to see you at the LI event and Beer and Wings night!
  21. If one were to go caching in Ramapo Reservation, which ones are there. I looked at the map and am not sure if Bear Swamp Lake or Monroe Ridge challenge are part of the park. Are they?
  22. We very narrowly missed a bear sighting! Met Team Ireland at a cache and they had just seen a bear in the area not 5 minutes before! Ay Carumba sounds like fun. Do you have a track log of the loop or at least a trail map?
  23. He probably did ALL of his cache BEFORE you placed yours Brian. He had been caching from May 2000 until September the following year (2001), just before you started placing caches... he rarely went out after that time... At least that is what I heard...
