  1. Isn't that on par with how many caches Floopy finds per day?
  2. Most of the main characters (and a couple of minor ones) have been assigned to people, I you can't make it (and said you could) please let me know sooner rather than later so I can reassign the character.
  3. I heared he is a very slow, careful reader! What's up with the avatar pic? I preferred Snat in a pink dress!
  4. I have been tracking this phenomenon for a couple of days now!
  5. Congrats to Perfect Tommy who just completed Five Star New York, the cache is no longer lonely. Although it has been out almost 9 months and only has 4 finds (one every 70 days).
  6. I was responding to AD's log plea: AD's Log Plea
  7. The big difference is that I wanted to place a cache nearby within 528 ft. I have no such want of the areas where AD placed his caches. If someone wants to place new caches there, they are welcome to ask you to archive them and wait two weeks for the okay. These caches are not currently preventing an active cacher from placing a cache there. P.S. I wasn't aware that AD couldn't maintain the caches.
  8. These caches are widely spaced out around Northern NJ. The Artful Dodger visits GC.com from time to time, so there is no need to adopt them. Thanks to those who replaced the containers.
  9. Thanks for the support people. Here are the ones that need help: The Curse of the Suburban Jungle By George! What a bridge! Cheeky's Hideout The Allamuchy Mountain Cache Saddle River Seeker Cache Camp Ringwood
  10. 73.4 nautical miles (I hear part of it is underwater).
  11. The Tourne Murder Mystery will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. ish at the pavillion On November 14th! All geocachers in the community are invited to attend. Please e-mail me with food you are planning to bring.
  12. Just a note to say I did the Artful Dodger's Allamuchy Mountain cache today and it is in really, really bad shape. The container has a gaping hole, the contents are soaked and dirty... I didn't read the cache sheet before hand otherwise I would have replaced the cache no problem. His Suburban Jungle cache also needs maintaining.... Since AD is no longer in the area, and I think his caches are excellent. Please think to bring containers and logbooks to help maintain any of his caches if you decide to do any. I can supply people with ammo cans or plastic jars etc.
  13. Yeah but Jonboy had shortcuts, he has already found all the caches AND he would stand by me if I broke my pelvis!
  14. Can you say Sock Puppet Account? Now ask yourself, who leaves nasty caches around the place and does own up to it?
  15. My 2 cents: I just got back from Letchworth. The park is beautiful (past colors now) and is great for hiking, geocaching on the other hand is difficult. Since you have to keep driving and grabbing... there are also 5 trails marked #2 ---- pick at your own risk!!!! Harriman is a wonderful park but in my experience they are not very friendly with regards to camping near parking lots etc. You have to be within eyesight of a shelter, (apparently). Both have great upsides depending on your preferences.
  16. If we start at 8 a.m. we could park cars along the way or at the end. Sounds like a plan. Date Jonboy?
  17. I found it informative. Thanks for taking the time to explain it.
  18. You mean drink lots of beer at events and lock up after the bartender has left? But seriously though, maybe you can teach a comprehensive course on how to place good caches, I am sure there are some people (including myself) who might learn from it. I really want to perfect the "It's in a crevice" technique. It's way too late to be a work, I'm going home.
  19. That doesn't sound so bad, I know some people who need lessons in hiding a cache and a permit may help stop placing caches. What have they got to say about placing caches in the snow? Once I find a cache I don't usually wait until the weekend to log it, I need to get the smilie that night! Do they get a smilie for every log they cut down?
  20. What! You now have to do THRU the marsh!!! BOLP I was far easier than BOLP III, but now I am not so sure.
  21. Thankyou to everyone who has placed a cache for me to find and a special thanks to each of you who have attended one of my events. I have plenty more stewing Tis the pleasure, nay the priviledge to cache with so many a fine fellow. Both lads and lasses. See ya at the Murder Mystery.
  22. Sorry, I clicked on Gaiterman's stats by a mistake. I then noticed that GC.com had altered the stats page so that traditionals are further down! My bad Congrats on your great milestone!!!
  23. We did Fluffy Pink Bunnies, quickly, just bushwhacked up the side of the hill. It is the caches in boulder fields I have problems with. We managed: A River Runs to It Fluffy Pink Bunnies Here there, Avroair (yes the final stage is in this park as stated on the cache description page) and tried Triple Tree
