  4. When we first started caching we did not know much about Geocoins we soon learned. After more caches we started seeing these DIPPED Items... So we looked into it further, and we had to have our own. Dad said I needed something that was representative of me so we looked and looked Nothing, still Nothing then one day there it was... It was Irish I am Irish... Not to mention what Girl does not need some LOVE FAITH HOPE & LUCK in her life Since then I found a coin more representative, but this one has been with me now we are BFFL

  7. Hello Gamma5, Here is what we do: 1. Find a great spot that we would like to put a cache. 2. We then tag the coords, and head home, to see if there are any caches close. Here is the rule: The reviewers use a rule of thumb that caches placed within .10 miles (528 feet or 161 metres) of another cache may not be published on the site. Make sure our location is available..... 3. Come up with an idea for the cache. A. Type B. Size C. Theme D. Get SWAG, Trackables, FTF Prize, etc..... 4. Start the cache reporting which we do over and over again! 4. Place the cache. 5. We then do the cache as would any Cachers to make sure it makes sense. I know this sounds like a lot but it makes for successful caches, I know I only have hidden 2 but I have hidden 4 with my Dad, and 2 with my Brother. I have 2 in the design stages, my Brother has 4 in design. Dad well he is running after us. Happy Hiding. P.S. I did have one that I had to revise to get published, and my Brother had to move one of his because it was too close to an active Rail Road. I would visit the link:How to hide A Geocache

  13. My Mission would be to travel to Iraq and let the Men and Women in Iraq fighting to keep us free know that we are SUPPORTING THEM 100%.
  14. I just could not wait to show these to Dad, but he had already seen them. He did say we would get on the list. I would like to share a flag we have on display at our house: This is our Flag and my Brother Fredhead. This is the Flag upclose, with certificate, and challange coins. This flag was actually flown in Iraq. We have another waiting to be framed, as well as the flag that drapped my Grandfathers casket at his funeral. This flag also contains brass from the three shot volley. Please see my Grandfather's TB: In Memory of "Junie" TB27G7T

  19. Here is my first Caching expeience: Please see my Dad's post #36 to get some background He does start most things off with with a talk as he said here: When we started to cache there was none of this fancy stuff, “no GPSr, it was all done with a map and compass, and you had to walk 3 miles in the snow, even in Summer, and up hill both ways, with no shoes” So you know what my Brother and I are dealing with. As Dad said he told us all about Caching over dinner and then we went to Geocaching.com to get an account and that we were headed out that weekend. We showed Enthusiasm just no WHOOPS. Dad woke us up early and we headed out for caching but did get breakfast , as Dad says "It's the most important meal of the day" then we were on the road and headed to the cache We all re-bundled as Dad picked the coldest day in a month to go caching. Dad wrote: Note: This was with the Garmin Nuvi 750 from the Truck, not the best GPSr for caching, getting there yes in the woods not so much. He was so proud of his GPS and convinced it could get us there, we now have a Garmin Rhino, for each of us, Dad;s is color ours is Black & White. Well we did finally get to the spot and we searched, and searched I found the cache as Dad and my Brother were looking in the wrong location as usual. Dad also wrote: we headed back to the Truck, the easy way this time via the path. This seems to carry on till today Bushwhack in Trail out, must fix this soon! If he would listen..... Well we headed toward home and my Brother said I'm I’m hungry like always so we get something to eat…., during lunch we did ask when were we going caching again? Dad has over 100 finds, my Brother is getting close, and yes I am a Dancer, and those two do sneak out while Mom and I are at performances, competitions, etc… thats nor fair, but they don't care. We do have a budding Coin collection, have our own Caches, and have been to events, Dad is correct we are hooked.
