  1. Usually two weeks to hold them is tops. If you can do a move to help a TB towards its goal, then to hold them longer is ok if you email the owner and let them know. The key is communication with the owner. I hope this helps.
  2. I have two caches approved last week to be released to the public this weekend. Also, I have a bunch of caches in the GPSr allready to GO!!
  3. Most will agre that it is ok to go back for a travelbug, but it is unacceptable to log it as a find again. Posting a note is truly more ethical.
  4. Always carry a thermos full of coffee!!
  5. Personally, I prefer a little challenge to my hunt. If the co-ords drop me right on it, it takes away from the experience. After all, isn't this about the hunt????
  6. It is called GAS. Geocaching addiction syndrome. Good luck.
  7. You would not have to worry about placing micros.
  8. I had two caches approved within an hour this week. However..........they will not be released till a secret prespecified date!!!
  9. To all above. Thanks for the chuckles! This is the kind of crazyness that really is built into the geocaching addiction. KA, thanks for playing along. Carleen, thanks for being the gentle soul you are. To all else, thanks for making this the BEST forums on the net!!!!!!
  10. Ten days from mailbox to membership upgrade. Thanks a lot!
  11. That is correct. Although there is mixed emotion in the forums as to whether this isproper or not. It is better to "grab it" and post a note, than take it and not replace in a cache. Subject to the regular disagreements of protocol on this concept.
  12. I was hoping for recomendations for a pda. Any recomendations or favorites? Inexpensive is also good. Thanks for the help.
  13. It would be sad to see it come down to this. But, the amount of flaming, personal attacks, and swearing in the past couple days does warrant some kind of moderation. We all truly enjoy the topics raised, some playful banter, and the overall knowledge shared in this forum. I will probably be slammed for this, but could we please excercise just a little more self control? I would hate to see the forums become so severely restricted that it's interest and general sense of good nature become lost. Please? Thanks a lot.
  14. I would like any input on the durability of the round metal christmas tins as a cache. Most importantly, how do they hold up in wet weather? Personal experience from a cache owner or a cachers point of view please. Thanks in advance.
  15. I wholeheartedely agree on all points stated! That is the beauty of interpretation. Indeed it would also be nice just to know a bug is still around.
  16. When you search from your stat page, on the right side click on filter finds(from your coordinates). That should do what you want.
  17. Do a search from your coordinates. Look for the travelbug icon by the cache name. Click on the bug icon in the cache page. This will take you to the bugs page letting you know its owners wishes. When you find one to help towards its goal, run out and grab it! Please be sure to log it out, then into the new cache please. Hope this helps!
