I would like to find out how to remove part of a log entry made by a finder of one of my caches. This person added too much information, encrypted some of it, and when others read that log entry, they will probably decrypt and solve the cache. IMHO, this is not acceptable in the "morals" of good Geocaching. I have E-mailed this person and asked politely for him/her to conform to the above comments ASAP. Every day this log continues as written, spoils my cache more and more. Please help! Thanks, seekers8711

Hi to all. I am presently using a Garmin GPS 72 non mapping unit. It works perfectly, but no maps. Next week, I "think" I am going to upgrade to either a Garmin GPS MAP 76 or GARMIN GPS MAP76s. THEY BOTH HAVE THE SAME "AMERICA'S HIGHWAYS" PRELOADED. I don't think I need the altimiter or the electronic compass, so the only difference between the two is the GPS 76 HAS 8 MB MEMORY AND THE GPS 76s HAS 24 MB. I am retired and don't travel too much, and am willing to download additional Mapsource METROGUIDE data for the area(s) I am going to visit. My GPS is used mostly for fishing and Geocaching. MY QUESTIONS ARE, HOW MUCH "METROGUIDE" CAN 8 MB HOLD? WILL IT HOLD HALF A STATE or what???? besides the preloaded maps? DO I REALLY NEED 24 MB?? WHAT TO DO? I'd really appreciate some discussion here ASAP. Please add WHY to your comments and explanations. Thanks, seekers8711

Hi all, Just sold my yellow Etrex and purchased a new Garmin GPS 72. (non-mapping) Love it so far. Lots to learn, but enjoying the studying and practice. MY QUESTION: I am aware that the 72 is quite similar to the GPS 76 non-map with the exception of a remote antenna jack. WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO DO IS MEET FOR COFFEE, CORRESPOND VIA E-MAIL OR DISCUSS ON THE PHONE, (MY DIME) WITH SOMEONE WITH A GARMIN GPS72 OR GPS 76. IDEALLY SOMEONE IN THE GREATER MADISON WISCONSIN, (WITHIN 40-50 MILES) WOULD BE GREAT. ANY TAKERS?? I AM RETIRED AND CAN MEET MOST ANY TIME AT YOUR CONVENIENCE. THANKS, seekers8711 seekers8711
