  1. You can buy coins for other people, no problem. I haven't bought very many coins, but it would be fun to get one for a friend!
  2. I would like an image like this, but can anyone tell me a good FREE program online that I could clean it up and get those fingers off the circle part?
  3. Great job!! Geocaching is a great sport to be involved in, hearing or deaf. Please, PLEASE tell me english is not your native language...... Mopar, I will try to tread gently here, but English is probably not his native language - American Sign Language may be. And ASL is a conceptual language that when typed out into English would look very much like these posts here. Actually, the fact that deafhunt types like that makes me think most assuredly he is a Deaf person. And DEAFHUNT? GREAT FOR YOU FINDING COIN! I HOPE YOU ENJOY CACHING EVERY-DAY!!
  4. Aww, come on.... You know you want the pretty icons too... Seriously, it's a cool way to see and handle new coins and trackables. I enjoy the coins I discover, whether they have a player's avatar or a state coin. It also lets me see the connections I've made with other cachers. I like the pretty icons. If you don't want to participate in this aspect, that's okay too.
  5. Welllllllll, I guess I could move to Idaho... twice...
  6. I will do Virginia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ( I think I volunteered on like day two of all this - but someone else beat me to it. Just let me know if it's still open!)
  7. Because of Keystone's request for us to keep this a friendly discussion, I will refrain from commenting with a word that begins with a T, ends with an R and has 7 letters! Don't mention the platinum memberships either!
  8. Ahhhhh, FunkyRes! You have figured out the essence of geocaching for most. It's not a destination, but a journey. Thank you for sharing those pictures with us. Keep on caching! You may not rack up the numbers, but your photos and memories will be your measure of satisfaction.
  9. Yes... and if it is there without permission it should be archived and removed. Wonder how many really read the rules at Geocaching?????? Something like this makes you wonder. Hi, Dilligas!! How's Ohio?
  10. I'm crushed. I remember the first time I ran across PUC #9. The shock. The wonder. People REALLY did this??? Now my bubble has been burst..... sigh.... WOW Vinny, You got some 'splaining to do! You mean to tell me that not only have we not really found fourteen extreme caches with high terrain/difficulty ratings, but now I'm a figment of my own imagination and don't REALLY exist?!? Ponderous! So, now ya know, LPYankee Fan!
  11. Sunday meetings stink! Sorry the Marauders can't make it to this one. Hope it goes really well!
  12. Yeah, and I didn't appreciate that drive by egging eggplanting of my house and soaping of my car windows. Fixed
  13. I strongly suspect that all of the Psycho Urban Caches and Psycho Backcountry Caches are tall tale caches, because, if I recall correctly, the owner himself showed up on this forum thread this very afternoon and confessed publicly to the fact that they were all hoaxes, merely tall tale caches. Seems that even the log entries and the photos are hoaxes created by a commercial advertising agency. Shame! So, no, in my book at least, you do not want to travel all the way to Maryland to tackle any of these caches, because it seems to me that they are all really 1/1 or 1.5/1.5 guardrail or lamppost skirt micros. Shame. But at least you saved yourself the airfare to Maryland! If a liar lies about a "liar's cache," what does that mean? That hurt my head. I better go LIE down.

  15. Yes! Do it! My birthday's tomorrow and I KNOW my husband would not do anything like that - but I would love it!!!!! I did it for my youngest son's birthday! Go for it!
  16. Umm, yes, staying on topic now, I've never been personally banned. Sounds painful...
  17. I dunno how this stuff works, but I wanna do this one!
  18. Way to go, guys! And I'm sure the Incredibles were there for most of them! Thanks for all you do for geocaching!
  19. When caches are archived, the owner is supposed to pick up the cache, now termed "geo-litter." But sometimes the cache is listed on another site as well, and just is no longer a GC geocache. So you don't want to trash it out for them. Boy, I thought that was an easy question to answer until I started typing the answer!
