  1. Caches that involve a nice hike or take me to a place I might not have known about or bothered to visit are best in my view. A good puzzle every once in a while is OK and an ingenious hide is too but not every time. I agree with the poster who mentioned his distaste for the magnetic key holder at another 7-11 (or something like that). There needs to be at least a little more thought put into it.
  2. Great story, Pipanella. Small world, after all, isn't it. In a similar vein (but not nearly so serendipitous), I was attending an event cache at a local BBQ place. I was talking to a fellow cacher who wanted me to meet a "newbie" and when I turned to greet him I was face-to-face with a co-worker from the telecom equipment company we both work for.
  3. I have downloaded Mobipocket to my Palm Vx and it works OK. I don't have mapping but otherwise it captures all of the descriptions, logs, etc. The files for the Palm are available from the same waypoint Pocket Queries that you can run as a Premium member. The problem I have is figuring out how to delete the old files when I am going to a different part of the country. I'm sure there's a way - I just haven't figured it out yet. There is also a "decrypt" tool (HintDecoder)you can download. With that you can enter the encrypted clue and it will decrypt for you for those times when you are stuck.
