  1. Dr. Neal, What can I say about this coin, I have been touched by few things in my life, READ TOUGH GUY HERE. I know cachers are a special breed and reading the Todies Wild Ride!, and what Rockin Roddy is doing for the memory of his friend, now your coin in memory of your Wife. Just makes me feel all that much more proud to be amoung your ranks. We meet at GCF 2008 you gave my Son Fredhead his first coin which is still one of his favorites, which he torments his Sister with everytime they look through their budding collections. This is a great coin, with all that you have put into creating such a coin with the depth behind it you should be proud of it. I am sure anyone who comes across one either in a collection or hopefully on the playing field will be touched by the story and your LOVE. CUDO's Dr. Neal you are a romantic......
  2. Hello AirborneSurveyor, I received your e-mail. 1st let me again THANK YOU for your Service, we owe you a debt we can never repay. I also want to wish you a great R&R, you have earned it. As for the coin it is a great looking coin you should be proud, and i am sure your team members will be honored to receive one. Stay safe my friend.
  3. Excuse Me GC was down????? OK sorry, but is human nature to be in denial when things go OH SO HORRIBLY WORNG. Many of you, at least half, will sympathize with my plight the other half will say well the first half know what the other half will say….. I got to the computer to tie up a few loose ends for an upcoming camping trip, get the Earthcache coordinates, and requirements, double check all caches were not muggled, etc…. The State park in Hocking Hills Ohio, offers at least 10 Earthcahe’s within a 10 mile radius, a true Cache Rich environment. WHAT WHAT oh that D@MN Microsoft the update to IE 8 has just caused my system to go into the dumper, oh that page works, that page works, that page works, no not GC, well let’s get a few Waymarks…AUGHHHHHHHH. So I check my laptop still nothing although I updated to IE 8 on that one as well, so I fire up the Daughters machine, great IE 7 so I am saved……. OH NO what will I do no, a small voice says Dad what the matter? I look and tell him, before the last syllable is out I hear me say DON’T TELL MOM. As you can guess I was to have all of the cache details printed, all caches loaded into the handheld, and have the Nuvi programmed with caches and parking locations long before this point as we are leaving for camping on Monday, Saturday is July 4th, we will be gone all day and we have a Wedding to attend on Sunday. I AM TOAST….. So I decided well I better try getting the rest of the camping items on my list done before something else goes south. Ok so I; Filled the truck with gas, OUCHHHHHHH Finish packing the truck Packed the cooler (water, pop or soda, adult beverages) Dropped out of site to check GC.com……… Got the bikes loaded Helped the wife and kids pack the trailer Packed the hiking gear, caching supplies what I could Dropped out of site to check GC.com……… Checked all tire pressures Cut the grass Dropped out of site to check GC.com……… Packaged some items sold on E-bay Wrapped and packaged my Birthday Mission Helped my Son wrap his Birthday Mission Dropped out of site to check GC.com……… The next day, still no GC.com, I am getting worried here for what is happening out on the West Coast; hopefully everything is OK nothing on the news so good. But as for me I am looking at a bad situation…. I make the kids breakfast, great morning… That little voice asks did you get the cache information Dad? SHHHHHHHH We head out to make sure that all camping items are packed. Dropped out of site to check GC.com……… Wait there is some life, no looks like something but not enough Head out and play a bit of Football with the kids We have to get ready for the July 4th party Dropped out of site to check GC.com……… YEAHHHHHHHH……. I am back in business, I can still get the information needed. The upside all of the camping gear is packed and we are ready to go early Monday. The 4th of July celebrations were great with no worries of getting everything ready for Monday. We can attend the Wedding later today with no need to rush home early, maybe that is not so good. Birthday Missions are ready to go. E-bay sales are ready to go And best of all I got an ATTA-BOY for getting all of the work done without being told, I did however get asked what I would have done if I could not have gotten all of the cache information printed and downloaded…. P.S. I did check there is a Wi-Fi spot at the campground……… Thanks for the Cointest…… I do not have any pictures but me with that look of terror on my face might not be good to see. luckycharmer, I hope my Wife does not read your post....Thanks for showing off PLANNING in ADVANCE who does such a thing.....

  5. Well botanycreek, I do not know what to tell you other than if you have tried many times NICELY to get this cacher to move your coin along, ship it back to you etc.... with no return contact as you state your only choice may be to move on a bit. This situtaion has happen to me more than once, and it is not a good feeling you researched bought or traded for just the right coin or discovered an item that makes a great TB, reflective of you or your hobbies, and it goes into someones bag to never be seen again. I had a TB last 15 minutes in the field, I actually passed the cacher that STILL has it in his possession as we were coming out of the woods, we were all trying for the FTF, we did not even get that........ I do have one suggestion edit the title, and profile to reflect the state of the item such as: *******STOLEN*******, ***MISSING CONTACT sadcacher@qwerty.com*** Please keep the words from being to accusitory, and keep this FAMILY FRIENDLY. If this coin shows up at a show or at an event, or on-line and some-one tries to discover it you can see what will POP-UP. Just this fact may shame the person into putting the item back into circulation, I had one cacher tell me they lost a TB of my Son's, and months later they discovered it in another caching bag, it came back to the playing field, maybe your coin will as well here is to hoping. Good luck, and sorry for your loss.
  6. I LOVE THE COIN... I cannot wait till the final hopefully I will have the resources to get some for the kids and myself. Both of my children attend/attened Catholic school, one is just out the other still there. My only comment would be to make sure with Groundspeak that the religious reference does not cause any heartburn. We have had a cache denied due to a Religious reference, and in ther guidelines there is a rule dealing with Promotion of a Religious Agenda....BLAH,BLAH,BLAH.... Hate to see you do get the whole way and something go off track at he last minute. Looks as if I need to put a jar aside and start to add money for the purchase. GREAT IDEA, GOOD LOOKING COIN, I AM SURE IT WILL BE WELL RECEIVED
  7. Hello EST, And welcome.... I have found that all Standard HTML commands work just fine, you just enter these in the description field. Link example: <A HREF="http://www.XXXXXXXXX"> DESCRIPTION</A> As for a Background again HTML commnads work this goes in the Mission area last line. Background example: <body background="WHERE EVER THE .JPG IS LOCATED.jpg"> Need any other HTML code help just search google for the commands... Hope that helped.
  8. Carbon Hunter, I sent an e-mail I hope that it gets you there.
  9. A great summer day Oh so much work to be done Sip a Yimeade DONE
  10. MISSION UPDATE.. Kinda cool my Birthday Mission, I got someone I have spoken to on-line previosly... I am looking forward to getting this one out. I hope they like it.
  11. Well I must also agree as to the coinage..... We have coins we would LOVE to own under our profile,(sort of seeking list), but if we do not get one of these in a mission we never care, there are so many coins out there and everyone has another story. I received a Team Olsson in a mission I did not know anything about this coin but I was intrigued so I contacted Team Olsson, here is the story behind this coin: Front of it is our home country`s with line between and how far in km. Back is our milestones at the time we ordered it. Very neat coin to own and I got to speak to them and learned a bit more about the world HOW I tell my kids the same, learn all you can and Geocaching really helps this I have been to so many places I would never visist to get a Cache...... My Son's last mission came from Dark Elf, he loved getting this package from Germany and learned more about how similar we are. He also received a Geopoly coin, we did not know these existed. My Son loves Monopoly and everything about it, we even found out that there was a Monopoly Gameboard coin, this is now on his seeking list. We try to get a coin on the seekers list, not always possible like the Moun10Bike, or an Anthus Laptop.... But we enjoy every coin we receive.
  12. Is it a doorknob cover?, one of those to keep the kiddies safe...
  13. E-mail sent Birthday Mission Email Sent - June 5th 2009 Birthday Mission Name Received - NO Birthday Mission Sent - NO Birthday Mission Received - NO E&Cplus3, thanks for stepping up......
  14. I think that a limted mint of the oversold LE's would be acceptable due to the Shopping Cart glitch. It is good with me, hopefully all other people who ordered LE's feel the same. But many people buy LE's, even at additonal cost (not really that much here) just because they are LE's and that there are only XX's ever produced. If that is out and the LE's become a 200 run they become a different run versus an LE. My Son wanted this coin, checked the thread daily, even with subscribing to it, so he could get in on the sale, we too also missed it looks as if we got lucky, got my PaPal Invoice as well as CH coins receipt. Good thing I don't sleep much. Saw this happen once before on a coin, it was listed as only XXX made and available, these sold out quickly just like these now they are being offered on the website as available for purchase, went from LE to regular run... , oh well the coin is still a beautiful coin one and my Son is happy with, its all well so... Theotokos be VERY PROUD of your work, I think this will be sought after for some time to come. Remember The Dressel Dragon Coin it's still a FAVORITE.... and most sought after.....
  15. This is good as I said before Fredhead is waiting and asking when it is his turn to join the mission. He is now 95% ready to go hopefully we will see a posting soon.
  16. Hello Opalsns, Great idea for a mission, we love missions and especially different ones. This fits . My Son Fredhead has started one which is an offshoot of The Witches Mission as well but it is for the kids, see link below: MISSION JOIN THE JUNIOR CACHERS AGENCY His is different as well, and not to mention gets the Junior Cachers involved. Count the three of us in; The Finding irish 4 Queenie-Boo-bay Fredhead Thanks for getting this together, let us know if if gets legs.....
  17. Mission arrived in todays mail: A Compass Rose, that actually has Roses on it Cool, A Hog wild Traveling Coin, and a BrierPatch Sig Item. Daisy Mae thank you for the mission, we got quite the laugh with all of the references/jokes...
  18. Just had to Bump this for Fredhead, I promised. He is in the final week or so of his school year and for the 4th term all A's so I guess I can do this for him. He is looking forward to getting this mission running, he really wants to get a kids and/or young adult cacher mission moving. He like to do Caches for again kids and/or young adult cachers, here are two of his Caches: Fredhead's Playtime Fredhead's Puzzle Cache #1 Hope to see your name on his list
  19. I spoke to the nice Gentleman at the Post Office and when I said Flower he pulled out the Customs Regulation Book…. So you can imagine what the word MISSION would have done to him Birthday Gifts made him smile sort-of and only on one side of his mouth but he put the book away stamped the package and said next I hope you like the items, and glad we were able to help you cross a coin off of your seeking list.
  20. Went away for the Memorial Day holiday camping, got to do some caching.... NATCH Got to do a great Mystery, which took us through small town America, the final was a mailbox right there on Main Street USA. It looked very similar to this one: Muggles everywhere no one noticed the Cache, no one noticed us retrieving it, scurrying away, or returning it. Strange no one noticed us .....
  21. One started Scouts, one got out of Scouts
  22. Congratulations to the winners. Thank you for the cointest, it was great fun. I have some new items to try.
