  1. Hello. Can someone point me to the rules regarding setting up a female only geocaching event?
  2. Thank you for this info. I did save the PQ. It automatically chose to save it to my PC. When I try to open it, it automatically tries to open it in GSAK. I think that I need a more step by step way. As in 1. connect cord to GPS 2. ect ect. :-)
  3. Hi All! I just bought my first "big girl" GPS for geocaching, and I am wanting to download the caches in my area (or any area for that matter) to my new Garmin Oregon 600. I have created a pocket quarry of the surrounding caches, but have no idea how to download them to my GPS. I am looking for step by step instructions to download them. Thanks for any help you can offer!
  4. Thank you everyone for your input. This is great!
  5. I am in the market to purchase a new GPS and am willing to spend the money for a good one. For a long time, I have used my Etrex or my smart phone, but I am now looking for something that is more user friendly and has more features. I am looking more at Garmins as I want to be able to do the "Chirp" caches. I want: 1) First and foremost, user friendly (easy to upload caches, log that I found it, mark or project waypoints, ect) 2) I don't mind buttons, but, is touch screen the way to go? 3) Good signaling capabilities 4) Water/weatherproof 5) No too heavy to wear around my neck 6) Paperless I don't necessarily need a camera, a light ect, but if it came with one, I wouldn't complain. Any pushes in the right direction would be great. If you have one you love, please let me know. I just really want to know what people are using and which would be the best for me.
  6. I agree. Please, please, please bring this back.
  7. I don't know why it happened, but the new change to the search function is absolutely horrific. It makes me want to cry. I've never written against something before, but with how much I use this program and with HOW BAD you've recently made it, I have too. I travel A LOT....and I like to be able to search for large areas (100mile + radius) of particular "types" of caches. The new allowance of ONLY a 30 mile radius is the most ridiculous thing ever conceived. This makes the planning and the leg work tedious and frustrating. Perhaps if I could even scroll across my map, it would make me a tiny bit happier. I hate that I can choose "view map" to view larger sections of area, but then cannot have a way to have the caches listed out for me-- I have to click on each INDIVIDUALLY to see any information about them!!!! Another thing that I do NOT like about the new format is that when I click on terrain or difficulty it doesn't toggle list the caches in a "linked" way between the two. If hit the difficulty button, YES, it will block the like difficulties together, but it has random terrains. EX: It lists all same difficulties together, but rather then having all the (1,1, 1,1.5, 1,2)'s together, you get something like (1,5 then 1,1 then 1,4.5, 1,2.5, ect, ect). This AGAIN makes searching annoying and tedius!!!!! Lastly, I can no longer see my current or up-coming events like I used to be able to. What the heck! I recently just renewed my premium membership.....but now I wish I handn't. I am just so upset by the whole thing. Its like one of my favorite activities has now turned into "work" rather then fun. I hope this all gets fixed soon...... P.S...the font and the layout are atrocious. NOT USER FRIENDLY!!!!! HUGE DISLIKE
