The right thing would have been to become a premium member or not take anything at all Put the coin back, it wasn't meant for you to take.

The $3/month is worth it. I don't think you should have taken anything from a members only cache in the first place, they are usually nicer items and it was probably an unactivated coin meant for a premium member gift.

Well, just remember - your cache is only hidden as well as the last person left it. It wasn't necessarily hidden in the way you intended. Just tonight I saw 2 caches right out in the open and the cover that was used was just lying next to it.

I'm just concerned now hearing about hardware fixes... I really don't want to send mine back because I like it, but if there's an update of course I want it.

First, a correction: Get 2009 not 2008 and you don't 'have to' it's just a lot nicer Hold right button for 2 seconds to take a screen shot.

My day isn't going to change one way or the other regardless if someone logs it once or 50 times. If my life ever becomes that dependent on monitoring caches it's time for me to sit down and have a one on one with the head shrinker.

I hear ya... if the sun would pop out I'd take off and do some caching that's for sure.

My conscience doesn't even know the cache was archived, nor would it care... been there, done that one - on to the next. WOOOOO!

I used paint stripper to remove the text, worked GREAT and left the ammo can green color. Not sure about painting it, I'd guess any paint for metals would work just fine - maybe Rustoleum since it will be out in the wild so to speak. Automotive paint should be fine and generally isn't overly shiny unless coated with clear.

Yeah, I found that unless you're using North Up display the screen size really isn't an issue because the height is still great and most of what you want to see is ahead of you anyway.

I'd actually understand a whole cache more than the log book :lol

Well, it 'kind of' does it automatically... but some topo data isn't displayed, you only see the shading. I'm not aware of any other option to enable/disable.
