Okay, so that means my federally illegal image is politically correct. -

Yah, but the whole idea is trying to look official and not like some genius who just printed something on a piece of paper and stuck it in his window... Edit: Oh shoot, I just noticed that the USGS is the people who do earthquakes and volcanoes. Crap. Well then who the heck are the guys who make the maps?!?!?!?! Edit Again: Now I'm really confused topozone says they get their maps from the USGS. -
Yah, as long as it's in a more of a public park or anywhere and you get definate permission from someone who's important. But like I said, caching near the resevoir could get you arrested for suspicious activity or something...
-
Probably because of the simple fact that it's a resevoir, and it's providing water to most of Allegheny county. A couple guys wandering around a resevoir looking for something, and then finding an ammo can hidden under some brush would look very suspicious, and maybe even get you arrested..

travelbygps.com might have some, but not nesecairily for your area, but they have very detailed info for some areas...

I probably just committed a federal offense by doing this, but here's an image that could be put on a piece of cardboard and put on your front and back dashes... -
Just thought I'd bump this up so new members could introduce theirselves here...

The First Words Out Of My Mouth Were...

Aha! After a little bit of careful work, I found my first post... Am I the only one to ever introduce themself in the introduce yourself forum? Wow, I remember that sig, it was pretty funny.. -
That's odd, last night, I swear it said you had exactly 500, now it says 555...

Okay, here's my rough draft for a press release. If anyone actually likes it, they can tweak it and insert they're information in that last paragraph. This is actually just a rough draft I wrote in about twenty minutes, so it's not great, and I'd be happy to hear some constructive critiscism.

Maybe something new for your new GPS you got a while back...

From the main webpage www.geocaching.com go to the thing on the right and click on the thing for states, and pick your state and click go. That thing brings up a new page with a header "Geocaching in State (whatever your state is.... Click the map button right next to that...

Congratulations is in order for The Leprechauns on their recent (?) 500th find... I don't know if this is any new news, but it wasn't posted anywhere in the Northeast Forums here, so I thought I'd post to congratulate him.

This site is actually pretty helpful. I'm unofficially surveing a large field at a local park to determine a good route for a 5k, and this among other things will definately help...

Too much snow???? No such thing! *image removed from quote* Sax, if you call the snow in that picture alot, you've obviously never been to Western Pennsylvania. We are just now melting out of about 2 feet of snow we had from a snow storm a week ago, that keeps melting, but then being snowed on again, and we're supposed to get another 6 inches or even a foot thursday night. And so all the caches I want to hit are either covered in a foot of snow, or the area is icy. Out of the closest fourty caches in my area, only 3 have been logged in the last 3 days. There is such a thing as too much snow...

Too much snow to get much, if any caching done, and so basically, every time I get on the computer, I check my email, and then this is the first thing I check on my list of forums that I visit. After that, I come back, not always replying, (because I don't always have a correct or witty answer) but I read the forums a LOT...

Suggestion For The Groundspeak Store
TeamK-9 replied to parkrrrr's topic in General geocaching topics
I've seen geocaching walking sticks before, can't remember what thread it was in thiugh. do a serch for equiptmen, i think the thread was named something about that. El Diablo makes them, just check his profile or sig. On a side note, I also think that the Groundspeak store should make at least ONE dog item... -
Yah, the magellan topo map is great, but you really have to be careful, cause they're not to accurate, like it shows my street (which is not even on my state atlas) but it also shows the street fifty feet away from where it show be and my house as being on the wrong side of the street, so they're good for getting a general idea, but not for knowing exactly where you are...
-
Yah, where are they sending you?

97 out of the first 100 are unfound. Leading for a whopping find of 3% of my local caches, with the 100th cache being a whopping 20.1 miles away... You know, I always thought my area wasn't very cache dense compared to some metro areas, but if you go to places like my aunts house in Wheeling, WV, there's like no caches around there...

jfegel, was it a dead body, or just some really weird person floating down the river?

Suggestion For The Groundspeak Store
TeamK-9 replied to parkrrrr's topic in General geocaching topics
I like the license plate too. I'd also think it would be cool to have some new items just to spice stuff up, maybe some mugs, and maybe boxers or something... -
Just wondering when the Groundspeak store was planning on offering new CITO stuff for this year, like new T-Shirt designs and trash bags?
