  1. You can still play pokemon on a new one, all the gameboys are reverse compatible, which means they play games intended for older gameboys...
  2. Ever since this winter, I've stopped trusting Joe Denardo and his happy band meteorlogists, and basically all other meteorologists. My brother and I have a favorite meteorological term that was used a lot this fall, winter, and spring, "a storm of varying degrees of seriousness" which translates to "we don't know what the heck's gonna hit us until the day after" But I hope the weather is nice... But anyway, I'm also really excited about meeting Questmaster. He's recently sent me some interesting information reguarding a good idea for a cache in my hometown in an area that I actually can ride my bike to...
  3. Yah, I mean, Nintendo pioneered handheld gaming. The fact that the price on both the gamecube and game boy advance sp shouldn't mean anything. You're getting a good deal on a game boy advanec and an even better one on the gamecube...
  4. Do you mind my asking where there will be parking. When we were up there to log Kid Science Consolation, we really couldn't find much parking and ending up just parking along side the road near the pavillion. That obviously won't work this weekend if we have twenty or more cars.
  5. I think standard procedure is to leave a rock cairn or some sort of marking at the place to show that it's gone...
  6. TeamK-9 is attending with Casey the Golden Cache Retriever who will be celebrating her first birthday on CITO day. We look forward to being able to help out our fellow cachers from the cito. Edited my post cause it didn't make sense after this topic was switched around a bit.
  7. Get sucked into the nonsense and you'll do better...
  8. My two cents: The five minute capture cam probably won't do, in my humble opinion, you'd be best off finding a camera that is controllable movement, or at least updates a bit more often than every five minutes. The best way to have people verify a visit is quite simple: The person goes to the given coordinates (which is where they need their picture taken) they then call a friend at home on the computer and tell them that they are at the coordinates. The person at home gets control of the camera, and finds the person at the coordinates in the picture. The person at the coordinates should do something to make them definately identifiable, like hold their GPS. The person at home, once they have a good identifiable picture of the person at the coordinates, they press "prt scr" on their keyboard. That takes a screen shot of what's on your screen. You can then paste that picture into microsoft paint and save it...
  9. I think Jeremy's hair is cooler...
  10. Great story, reminds me of a while back somewhere out near mountains, a kid was playing with some of his friends with an FRS radio, and he heard this really faint voice. It turns out that like 10-15 miles away from the kid, there was a guy stuck on a cliff. Funny how the FRS radios are only supposed to work 2-5 miles, but that signal got so far. I guess it's just the miracle of technology. I would like to personally congratulate the guys who found the missing dude...
  11. I think a major thing that Jeremy had mentioned when travelling caches were banned is that, there's no way to know exactly where a cache is or who has it at any given time. I think he did however say that if you were willing to put together a very expensive gps tracking system so people could know exactly where it is, then you might be able to list one, but other wise no. But don't quote me on tat, cuase I'm not quite sure about that. But for a moving cache to work at all, there has to be a way to know precisely where it is at any given time...
  12. That's bad, but not to bad, I mean it's not like taking five bucks, or a cool item worth five bucks and leaving nothing...
  13. I need help logging Where's in a Name. My name translates to 83 west longitude, which goes through quite a few southern states. Is there anyone able to help me?
  14. I'm looking for help logging Where's in a Name. My name translates to, and I had the other numbers handy but I just lost them. This longitude I think goes through ohio, so if anyone can help... 83 west longitude Can anyone somewhat near that longitude line help me out?
  15. Who's the genius admin who moved this to the Canada forums, or were they already here? I'm so confused... They don't seem in the right place at the Canada forums....
  16. Translation: I please my dog No, gustar is a verb that doesn't really translate right. I mean. ...Oh crap, just remembered, there is some kind of weird rule aobut forming sentences with gustar, I just can't remember it...
  17. One word: OVERLOAD
  18. In the Geocaching.com Web Site Forums...
  19. I have now actually started geocaching,b ut I'm still primarily a geoblabber. Any new entries to the geoblabber hall of fame?
  20. Yeah, it is... You only get to flame people for misspelling in Abject Silliness, and only when you're regulars like me and sax man... Edited to add the smilie so people would see it as the joke that it truely is...
  21. TeamK-9

    Main Site Down

Just quoted that to answer riddlers question. If you post a complaint in here, and Jeremy doesn't already know about the problem he works on it right away, and if he already is working on it, he usually explains what's going on. You're a great guy Jeremy...
  22. I think this might have been what Divine might have been talking about. But why couldn't Groundspeak just make membership an item in the store... And the person could be mailed or email their activation code...
  23. Jeremy almost undoubtedly has those stats available for his personal use and with some work, he could put them up on the site for viewing, but this site isn't about the stats. Lol
  24. When in doubt, run in circles until you knock yourself out...
