  1. A screen protector might be a good investment. Got my 450 a couple weeks ago and slapped one on before the inevitable happened.
  2. Just got an Oregon 450 last week, and had a question that I could not find an answer for in the FAQs or on the WIKI site. Frequently, when I'm scrolling the map, the little red location pin pops up with the location info at the top of the screen. I would not jab at a point on the screen, just smooth scrolling. How do I set the unit so it won't do that? Can it be adjusted like a mouse pad on a laptop? If that is not possible, how do I make the little red pin and info go away after they pop up so they aren't in the way of the map? Thanks in advance!
  3. Likely just me, but when I try to search using maps, all I get is the gray screen telling me to zoom out. I am able to position my mouse pointer in the upper left of the screen where the zoom control is. When my mouse pointer is over the bottom of the slider scale (that I can't see) the little box pops up that says "Zoom out". So, I zoom out. Bunches of caches come up, but the map does not. Google maps works fine in the browser. Google Earth works fine as well. But I can't search with maps in the GC website! Here are the specs: Windows XP SP2, Firefox 3.5.5. Anyone else deal with/experience this? Help! Thanks!
