  1. I know that tuperware containers aren't the worlds most expensive item, even ammo boxes only cost 4-5 pounds but . . . . There are some places that have a ready supply of FREE containers that we (as cachers) would find very useful. For example, a friend of mine works for Thames Water, they use a growth medium for sample cultures. This comes in large screwtop barrels (10-12 inches high by 7-8 inches dia) with 'o' ring seals. They get through about 2-3 a week and when finished they throw the containers away ! My friend has saved me two of these and they will make great caches. Look here - BC2 - Walking in Circles - for one already 'in the field.' In the past I have worked at an RAF base where aerial photography took place, they had a ready supply of large (8 inch dia, 8 inch high) plastic film canisters which they regularly dumped. Does anyone else have a good supply of free containers ?? Or, can anyone think of somewhere suitable containers could be gathered from ?? Remember, Reclaim, Reuse and Recycle
  2. It's good to see such prompt action to move a cache in the interests of others Mind you the cache has moved twice since I found it last - I haven't been in the area that often !!

    The offer still stands if you're interested . . . .. . .
  4. Congratulations Write and Mane for hitting 100 caches. Completed by finding our micro (Wye Rapids) in the middle of the Forest of Dean !!
  5. As far as I'm concerned . . . . I'm leaving them in caches as a thank you to the persons who placed the cache, so, therefore, they're your property !! Stuey - if you're collecting them, you should find others in "456", Cobblers! & Beer you can't drink !!
  6. I've made mine so I can cut out both sides of the card as one and then fold them in half. This almost guarentees that the two sides are lined up properly when they're laminated . . . .
  7. I spent 1.5 hours[ish] searching for a cache on Dartmoor (UK) - this one - Finding Dartmoor Funny Obviously I didn't find the cache, but I did find THREE letterboxes . . . . .

  9. No 18 is Pat & Brynney from the MoonHerbs . . . N0 19 is Jane & Brynney from the MoonHerbs . . .
  10. In the spirit of fair play, wouldn't it be better to WAIT until the cache has been approved ?? Personally, if someone logged one of my caches before it had been approved I'd delete the log . . .
  11. I've placed a few traditional caches and it might be time to think about placing a multi . . . . so . . . Does the 0.1 miles between caches rule apply to 'stages' in multi caches ? Can a 'stage' in a multi cache be close to an established cache (ie. within the 0.1 mile limit), even if it's not my own cache ? If I have a series of traditional caches, can I convert them into a multi by adding a 'clue' into each of them and then placing a further, final cache ? In the last case, I'd make an effort to supply the 'clue' from each cache to every person who has already found that cache to save them the trouble of revisiting them . . What do you think ?
