  1. Maybe it's more out of ignorance of the rules of caching than it is selfishness. I think it is easy for a person to just skip past the rules when first starting out, I'm definitely guilty of that one. Somehow we need to better educate the new people before they go out and start caching.
  2. Thanks mtn-man, we'll check it out.
  3. I don't know if this has already been discused, but my wife and I miss looking up a state and then clicking on map at the top of the page to see all the cache locations for that particular state. We used it quite a bit to check out caches in different areas of a state. Both of us were just wondering why it disappeared and is there a new way to look at caches that we haven't caught on to yet? If there is a thread started somewhere else in the forums about this topic please let us know so we can check it out.
  4. Great cache idea! Looks like I have myself a new challenge.

    Bookmarks

I created a bookmark and do not want it to show up on my profile bookmark tab, so I selected share this bookmark with others. How do I share this with someone else? I haven't been able to find anything that explains this.
  7. I would be very interested in making this event. Sounds great!
  8. I think it is a coal mining machine somewhere in Germany. If I remember right these photo's were taken as they were moving it from an old mining sight to a new one.
  9. Here is a bookmark of some of the more memorable caches I have done over the years.
  10. I stand corrected. Thought I was trying to be helpful.
  11. Looks to me like it gives both the snow water equivalent and the actual snow depth. My wife and I cross country skied into an area where there is a snotel site and from what I could see the snow level was about the same as what I had looked at on the web site.
  12. Try this site. Hover your mouse cursor over any of the dots and then klick on it. This will take you to a page where you can look at the snow level for that area. Washington Snotel
  13. I'm not much of a rock hound, but I have heard this is a pretty good place to look for garnets. Garnet Digging
  14. Another good place to check out is idahogeocachers. Click on forum.
  15. I am looking for a Missouri coin. Anyone out there have an extra one they want to get rid of. I have: 2006 Idaho coin Terracaching.com coin
  16. Thanks everyone! Using the cache machine route looks like the best way to hit some of the caches.
  17. My wife and I missed out on the cache machine, but we are planing to be in Bellingham in April. I was hoping some of the local cachers could recommend a few caches to do there. Looks like there are plenty of good ones to choose from.

  21. It's been hit and miss with me too. I was starting to think it was a problem on my end.
  22. Welcome cheese eater society, look forward to finding your cache. I live in Lewiston and have been caching since August of 2003. You missed an event cache that was held October 1st at Hells Gate State Park. We had a great time even though it rained most of the day. The next event will be held January 1, 2006 at Grannys Buffet in Lewiston. The event is called The First Annual Palouse Dinner, it should be a lot of fun. Look forward to seeing you at the event.
  23. Thanks Jeremy, that's what I was looking for. A straight answer.
  24. Works for me... ? I'm impressed with your helpfulness.
