I found a coin with a 2004 date. It has a tracking number that starts with a "WA" and 4 numbers. It is labeled " Washington The Evergreen State" on 1 side " Home of Geocaching Wolrd Headquarters - www.geocaching.com " on the other side with the tracking number. I've tried the number and the coin title but can't log the find. Comes up unable to locate coin. I'm thinking about drilling it, sticking a bug on it and sending it out. Would this be an ok thing to do? Damaging and tracking a coin that is not mind?

Another reason to remove the markings AND mark it as a Geocache is the Bomb Squad. I work on a Squad and three of us geocache. This means that the rest of the squad members know about caching. This is not to say that if called out to a suspicious package with the "geocache" markings we would use less caution but it would be a factor in the action plan to handle it. I wonder how many caches are destroyed by bomb squads.
