  1. I would recomend the Garmin GPS 60, or the GPSMAP 60. They both have geocaching mode, and the latter has a basemap, and autorouting capabilities. Or if you want to spend a little more the GPSMAP 60C has a color screen.
  2. If you think so. I don't mind. I was just kinda concerned someone might be messing with our sport.

    Hacking Gps

Saw this book on Wal-Marts web site. The title sounds strange, but the discription is stranger. Link to Wal-Mart And how would you "Hack" geocaching?
  4. Does anyone know if the trail would be snow free by...say Memorial Day? I've got 2 days left from '04's vaction, so I'd like to do it in a 4-day weekend.
  5. About 2 years ago I upgraded from an Etrex to a 76S, but hated the big size. So I sold it. I bought the 60CS when it came out, and love it. It's only slightly bigger than an Etrex.
  6. You have a Rino! What would the neighbors say?..... I live in Raymond, Not Centralia. So I guess Dupont would be half way.
  7. Easy.....Leatherman. We could atleast meet in the middle somewhere. Say Rochester. I could give you Mapsource directions if you need them.
  8. Garmin is going to release two new models....
  9. It looks like a step in the right direction for Magellan. Which is good because I was really starting to feel embarrassed for Magellan owners.
  10. Keystone approver quoted Jeremy as saying: I agree.
  11. Would this make it so you could not log a "find" on an archived cache?
  12. I would like to see archived caches added as search option in the "selected types" field. If for no ohter reason than; just because a cache is archived doesn't mean it's gone, and archived finds are kinda unique/fun. Positive or negative thoughts are welcome....
  13. Anyone enterested in a lengthy hike to conquer a cache hidden 07.31.2002 without a find? I'm thinking late June early July to hit Butte of a View.
  14. The Movie the Hunted has several Portland geocache locations in the background. One of them is: Tunnel Cache 2
  15. a bump just in case someone has new info....
  16. A clearcut by definition is the ultimate "bushwhack". Trust me I know. You'll find that If 10 cachers find your cache, They'll probably use 10 different ways to do it. Everything from where to park, walk, and ultimately in finding. No biggy for me. But mine aren't usually in sensitive areas.
  17. Yah, Travisl and myself both profit from the "Pulp & paper" industry. But I swore a cell phone would be the last piece of technology I buy for geocaching.
  18. I gotten two first finds in one day....on three seperate occasions, does that count?
  19. I would love to see a link to a file with a paperful version in it. To hell with those paperless cachers I say.
