  1. But I wonder if you WILL have to change your password every time you want to log into the OTHER account in the forums, and again to get back to this one... What was the root cause of the problem? There HAS to be other, less intrusive, methods to correct the problem. Lets do a test then. Test Test as ReedKyCacheFinders Test Test as wildmaninreed
  2. Have you tried clicking on the "Log Out" link up in the top left corner of these forums? If so, does it log you out? 6. Ok, We have 4 computers in this household & can't sign in with our ReedKyCacheFinders name?? So I don't think going to the Library will help, But when we in town again, We'll stop in & see what happens.
  7. With 36 hides under our belt now & We been caching for just under 7 months. When we hide a cache. We'll mark the hide, Walk off in different directions & have the GPSr lead us back to it. We'll do this about 2 or 3 more times with more marks & leading back to the cache. Then we pick the waypoint that shows us the closest to the cache & that is the coords we use. 99% of the time when cachers find & log in our hides they say the coords were Right On or they let us know at the many Meet & Greets we have been to. We to use th etrex H & think it the best on the market at its price. For any price for that fact.
  8. Thanks for the advice Jim, I just started using rechargeables and didn't even remember that there was a battery setting in my 60CSx. Funny thing is that once I changed it from alkaline to NiMH my remaining battery charge indicator jumped from about 3/4 to full!!! That is Because Alkaline batteries are 1.5 volt so it is monitoring the voltage as such when you switch to NIMH it knows that rechargeables are 1.2 volts per cell so it monitors the batteries based on that voltage. Does the etrex H have this battery changing setting in it too??
  9. Done that countless times & still can't sign in under our Payed geocaching account here. We can get in the geocaching site under that name, Just not here in the forum.
  10. oh, another thing. We are now payed members on the geocaching site under the name ReedKyCacheFinders. I had thought not being a member had something to do with getting in here under that name & I guess I was wrong,,,lol
  11. Test 1 ,,2,,,3 Test 1234 Is this Mike on??
  12. Thanks ,knowschad. I knew I had logged in with that name here back when we started geocaching. I just didn't know about when the last time I had been here using the name ReedKyCacheFinders. Yeah, trainlove, most sites to sign in have passwords that are Case Sensitive. I done had the screen names & passwords to all of them sent to my e mail addy. There is no spaces used in my or our passwords. I'm on many sites & have many e mail addy's & I have never used spaces or _ in the names or passwords. when I come here, I'm in the geocaching site under the ReedKyCacheFinders name & I click on the forum that is on the left side of the page & it brings me here under this name, Go figure??
  13. Yeah, We have in this area we live a few that post the tracking # of the TB in they're cache log. I have wrote these people about it too. Still in they're log's,,,O'well, I tryed. Yeah what Team Chinook said, That's how I log a drop of a TB.
  14. Yeah, If you know the zip code, Enter it on the front page of geocaching.com site, You should get a list of caches in that area of the zip. From there, You should see Map It, near upper right corner, Click it & you'll get what is like a Yahoo Map, Pan out some & you will see the caches in the area. Drag the map to Diff. areas around & find the state park cause sometimes the zip code is not right on the Location.
  15. ok, Great, I saved to my favorites. I don't think it will work on this old palm we have right now. Maybe if we run across a more updated type of Palm, I'll have this info saved, Thx's alot.
  16. ok, sounds good, Now where does a person find this Cache Mate??
  17. Yes, Logging into here, The forum. We can sign in with the other names on geocaching.com But we just can't sign into here with our ReedKyCacheFinders name?? & I have been signed in the forum using the ReedKyCacheFinders name before. I know I have posted using that name before, Just can't remember where??
  18. Where do I find this?? the Cachemate that is & is this something that cost?? Thx's
  19. Opps, Also, Did you while you was logging the find & before you entered your log, Did you check that TB at the bottom before clicking the log button??
  20. did you go in the TB's site & log it there as where you got it & dropped it off at??
  21. Even in water tight containers we use Ziploc baggies to hold the Log book & if we starting the cache out with TB's or anyother SWAG. We put it all in a larger Ziploc, with the log in it own ziploc all in this larger baggie. Ammo Can's can be found in Army Surplus Stores. We have them here with stacks of can's. The 30cal. going for about $5. The match stick containers is cheaper at wally world. You can find cheap Bison tubes & the likes & Key holders (I use baggie on the log's in these too) at Harbor Freight Stores. We have used Plastic containers that Spice, Salad dressing come in ,35mm film can's,, etc ,etc but we alway's put the log's in a ziploc baggies, You can find diff's size baggies in the craft area of wally world too. We not had a wet log book yet. Using the containers food comes in, We put strong soap & water in them & let them soak for day's or weeks before using them & use the cheap walmart brand spray to camo them up. Sometimes spraying the inside with some paint help mask the food smell so animals don't go packing it off,,,lol If they do, Cheap container to lose, But don't let it be for TB's to be put in. Another Great deal with hiding or owning caches is to go Check on them every 30 day's. I do this if it's not been found in the last 30 day's. Alot of people to proud to log a DNF & that's not right, but what can we do?? lol If it get's Reg. hunted & found & people have logged that everything is ok, Then we take that it been checked & is ok. I done got side tracked here,,lol Paint can/s should be fine if cleaned right away to get the paint of it & if they plastic & the paint should dry on them, Then the paint should be able to be peeled right off the can/s
  22. Oh No, There is no quote/s in front or end of our name, it's just plain ReedKyCacheFinders I just added them to kind of quote myself,,lol
