For those of you already updated, just ignore but for those of you with 7.25 or earlier, there is a new software update for your eXplorist 610 and possibly other eXplorist models. You will not find the update on their website but through VantagePoint. VantagePoint is not available on Mac and so after installing it on a new PC today it gave me the update. Update 7.28 - 4/20/2015 No details on what was addressed.

So as another user had discovered, there are 2 files added to the 610 when checking Found on Geocaches, here they are the contents of adding Found to a geocache via the newly creates logs.txt file. As well the Magellan_Geocache_Extension.px is also created by the device. I tried using GSAK as I do with my Explorist XL and have good success but the results were the same, no caches flagged as found. I do have a support ticket in with Magellan I don't know if VantagePoint is a solution as I use a Mac so installation for that platform.

I'm noticing other users with the same issue, contacting Magellan, will update if there is actual fix.

Hey Everyone, I just purchased another GPS, the Explorist 610. I'm not sure what exactly what I'm doing wrong with adding my pocket queries. I have created a pocket query for my area and copied the Geocache file and Waypoint file to the correct directly on the new device. When I preview the query in the browser, it looks, great 738 results including my finds and others not attempted. However when I view the Geocaches on the 610 I am not seeing caches I have found indicating I have found them. If I were to copy this same query onto my Explorist XL. it shows them correctly, I've checked my Sort and Search and it is set to show everything, if I change the Sort to found only, it indicates 0 finds. I did notice under query downloads there is undeleteable query called My Finds, which I also copied over but it didn't change the outcome. A bit confused.

I've been away for a bit and created a few new queries and have never experienced this issue. After creating the caches, one local an one in another state/province but when I preview the query it is basically using my profile location as its reference on the map, don't get it. I'm checking to use a certain Postal/Zip code. so for instance I'm using Gladwin, MI zip code as my location but it still previews my coordinates from my profile. Confused and this has never been the case. It even appears to be ignoring my cache limit number. I must be missing something.

This is all very confusing, just purchased the Explorist XL and updated to 9.2, how do I tell what's working and what's not? Very interesting thread and I'm sure it will make sense when I understand it all.
