Bangers&Mash

Off to go caching for the great Mission trails PCPT that was suggested by LLOT after our hike up to El Capitan. Maybe I'll see some of you out there? BTW - we have just changed our name from "Lucy&Nigel" to "Bangers&Mash" so expect to see different names as we cache up to the 1,000 mark....

what is a 'pinned' topic? I thought this question existed but did not know how to search for it in these forums? I looked at the website help but not in FAQ? There was also not a search in the forum for items like "username" which likely would have gotten me to this as well...

I've been geocaching for nearly 2 years. When I first signed up, I did not realize that the name you choose is stuck forever? And that people have fantastic crazy geocache usernames. Can I change my handle and how? I'd like to go to Bangers&Mash because we've used that in races before and celebrates the British in us!

Thanks for the tip - I was not using GSAK to import the field notes - was trying to go directly into Geocaching sites with the link set up. This is the second tip to get GSAK and use the macro, so will go and investigate.

was a solution found to this problem (not finding anything when trying to uploa the filed noted file). I just worked out this festure - will save me lots of time, but geocaching.com returns 0 files. i cleared it out and went caching again with new notes, but still keep getting same error. Not sure what else to do?

I live in the US and have a Garmin Colorado unti. I'm going to Cyprus and saw there are lots of caches so will take my unit and download the GPX files for them. Do I need to do anything else - someone mentioned Imight need the topographical maps for the area or something? I didn't see any on the Garmin website...
