  1. I got a Garmin eTrex H. It's not the best out there, but it at least gets me caching again (the last I was using was on the fritz, I think) As soon as I'm able, though, I'm replacing it with a DeLorme Earthmate PN-40.
  2. If you take another look: Specifically: "Smallest town to be a Tree City, USA." It's not the smallest town in TN, but the smallest to be a Tree City. Also, the listing owner is GeoWoodstock 7 Committee. It doesn't matter that this is their only cache. The account was clearly made specifically for GW7 Besides all that: i was at GW6 this past Saturday, and yes, this is legit. It is the state and the waypoint name that was announced at GW6. So, Bell Buckle, TN, here we come for GW7! Hope you're ready for us all...it's bound to be a big one, especially if i get as many cars in the caravan i'm working on building as i'd like to have coming from California! -april
  3. I've read a lot about those preforms, but I've never seen them in use. I imagine they would be very weatherproof and sturdy? Hey, and on top of weatherproof, and sturdy, you have an easy way to tell if you're the FTF with these! If the seal is broken, you didn't make it in time to be FTF....lol! Sorry...just had to make that comment...hehehe -april
  4. Amazing.... Thanx for sharing this with us.
  5. Yes, it was announced. It will be in Tennessee next year. Anybody in California interested in a road trip next year? i'm planning to leave one week ahead of time, and will take one route to GW7, and after it's over, will take another route back to California after. If anyone's interested, i'll make all the arrangements. Please email me and we'll start discussing it. -april
  6. I have the ability to organize a trip that is either a tour of somewhere, just about anywhere, or a cruise, and is based on Geocaching. Would anybody be interested in something like that? For a cruise - perhaps a Caribbean cruise - we'd all meet up at the boat in Florida, then at each port, we'd have an event, so we can meet up with local Geocachers, and we'd have an itinerary that takes us to visit local caches as well as get to see some local landmarks. A trip/tour could be just about anything. For instance, it could be as simple as a trip through Napa and Sonoma Counties in California. We'd take two days or so to visit as many caches there as possible, tour some wineries and see some local landmarks. Perhaps spend a day at the ocean, at Jenner, Bodega Bay, etc, and perhaps take a day to go into San Francisco, hitting the touristy areas, as well as several caches there. Or, it could be as extensive as a European trip. We could hit several countries, working to find as many caches as we can, while still being able to see the countryside. Could also be a South American, or East Asian, or African trip. The sky's the limit for the possibilities of what we could do. Please post what you think and if you might be interested in any of the above possibilities. I know that I'd love to do this myself. Am just a beginner Geocacher, but am pretty much...um..well, no...am definitely addicted and can't wait to have the opportunity to visit places other than my home area to search for some caches in those places. -April
