I have the ability to organize a trip that is either a tour of somewhere, just about anywhere, or a cruise, and is based on Geocaching.
Would anybody be interested in something like that?
For a cruise - perhaps a Caribbean cruise - we'd all meet up at the boat in Florida, then at each port, we'd have an event, so we can meet up with local Geocachers, and we'd have an itinerary that takes us to visit local caches as well as get to see some local landmarks.
A trip/tour could be just about anything. For instance, it could be as simple as a trip through Napa and Sonoma Counties in California. We'd take two days or so to visit as many caches there as possible, tour some wineries and see some local landmarks. Perhaps spend a day at the ocean, at Jenner, Bodega Bay, etc, and perhaps take a day to go into San Francisco, hitting the touristy areas, as well as several caches there.
Or, it could be as extensive as a European trip. We could hit several countries, working to find as many caches as we can, while still being able to see the countryside. Could also be a South American, or East Asian, or African trip.
The sky's the limit for the possibilities of what we could do.
Please post what you think and if you might be interested in any of the above possibilities.
I know that I'd love to do this myself. Am just a beginner Geocacher, but am pretty much...um..well, no...am definitely addicted and can't wait to have the opportunity to visit places other than my home area to search for some caches in those places.
