  1. I have had several geocoins go out...and all is lost or stolen. It seems funny though that when they go "missing", it is always here in the United States. Anytime that it makes it overseas to Europe and such, it never gets lost....but they always go missing here in the US. What is up with that? If you are not going to move it on, don't take it!!!
  2. $10+$2.50 S&H Castle, what does "PM Sent" mean? Is this against the Forum rules or something?
  3. Anybody interested in buying this coin (I have about 25 left). Email me and we could do a PayPal type of trade, then I will mail it to you. I am not interested in trades though. http://www.coinsandpins.com/images/reefcheck-pgld-350.gif
  4. Please help this "cause" in protecting our Reefs. We have only 3 days left. Thank you for your time.
  5. Thanks for your order and love for helping the reefs. I went back to visit my family in Hawaii a couple years ago...and I noticed that the reefs are not the same as it was We only have 5 days left for this Pre-sale, so tell any of your SCUBA friends even if they are not geocachers. Mahalo
  6. There will be an icon only if we sell more than 250, so help us out if you would like to. The icon will probably be the Reefcheck logo. right I've just placed my order! Unfortunately I've ordered a Gold version rather than a Nickle one, is there any chance you can help me out to change my order to a Nickle coin???? Michelle Michelle, you know what would be really cool is if you owned both...lol. No not really, you will have to contact Coins and Pins directly. Thanks for ordering though

  8. I am sorry about that. This was my first coin...and let's just say I got over zealous, and I don't use Forums much and didn't think it was Spamming, as I only sent it to about 15-20 people. Groundspeak sent me a request to stop such...and I have. I apologize for this inconvenience.

  12. Ahhh...geocaching during work hours. I don't do this often but I do however check my gps unit when I am running from one place to the next to see if I am passing something. There are a few times that I get an email that someone just dropped a coin...and I find a reason to run out and check out the coin before going to my work destination. Okay...be truthful...lol...it is not like your boss is reading your forum...or are they? LOL
  13. Yeah well, I just had two of my coins go missing in the first week.....grrrr and no one has logged it out. I asked all 5 people who "visited" that cached if they saw it or picked it up....nada. It is already gone I believe for good. When I come across other paper ones, I don't move them, but I will log it in as "Discovered" so I can get the icon...yes it really is about the numbers for me now...lol. I actually have more trackables in my profile listed more than the actual caches I visited as I go to places that have more than one trackable there...lol
  14. I have created objectives or goals for my travel bugs and geocoins, but rarely do I see anybody try to meet them or upload pictures. I do the same; I log it in, take it (if I don't just "discover it"), and move it on. Sometimes when I go on trips, I will find a bunch to take with me to give it mileage before dropping them. There seems to be tons of TB's and fewer Geocoins. Have you ever really seen these trackables meet their goals or even come close to any of its objectives? hmmm...
  15. I have come across several "Paper Version" geocoins since people do not want their coins to get lost or stolen after spending $5-$15. I usually roll my eyes when I come across these and just move it on after logging it. Now I just got one of the coolest coins I have had in the mail last night (Tengwar Geocoin). I am now actually considering keeping this one in hand and putting a paper version out. I am not letting this one go, so do you think I should just keep it and don't put out a paper version, or go ahead and put a laminated paper version out? hmmm....
  16. I hear you...the same has happened to me. I just recently sent emails to more than 10 geocoin owners that have the coins in my area to alert them that they should mark it as missing. Then it will be taken off of searches when doing your pocket queries. If their coin is found it could be put back into circulation, otherwise it helps getting logged "missing" so that coin finders don't go looking for a ghost coin.
  17. I have come across several of those "Nude Cache" Geocoins, which frankly cracks me up of the idea. When we go geocaching out in nature we have gotten ticks, poison ivy, tons of branch scratches, tons of spider webs with actual spiders on one of us, misquito bites, foot blister, etc... No, besides being a scary sight to see, I won't be geocaching for coins in the buff any time soon!!!! And honestly...are there any good looking geocachers...I sure am not...I would get arrested..lol? What do you all think about that...lol?
  18. I meant to spell it "steal". Seriously. most of the geocoins were circulated out there to be tracked. I know some people like to collect them and stuff...but really, when you find them in caches...it is not yours to keep but to pass on. Pass it on like other travel bugs unless the specific goal is to be kept. I have come across numerous caches that "lost" the geocoins. I contact the owner of the coin, owner of the cache, and they all say the same thing..."someone must have kept it". Why does this go on do you think?
