So like working for a few hours and getting paid and getting a premium membership? It's all well and good for you, but contests and such don't pay for rent and employees and such. But it's just a game at the end of the day. I don't see it being unreasonable to have contests for it.

I wish there was other ways of obtaining the premium membership rather than having to pay for it. Like contests or something of the sort. Not making it free but making sure someone has to really work for it if they want that membership.

I accidentally did this for a solid two days when I first discovered the app. I would put NA when the log was wet thinking it would just notify the owner. Now I look back and shutter. I didn't know any better but I don't think that should call any reason to hate newbies.

I love all of your stories! I'm going to tell one from my first day of geocaching. Well I discovered this app not to long ago (December) and I really didn't understand that geocaches go off of trails; I just thought you go straight to them. Well that ended me up into a thorn bush the size of big foot. I was stuck for 20 minutes until some bikers came by and rescued me. It was unbelievably frustrating as the geocache was within sight but I had gotten myself into such a bind that I wasn't able to retrieve it until my rescue. I'm just saying that it should be written somewhere that you don't necessarily go straight to the geocache. It was awful at the time but now I look back it and snicker.

I actually just went down a long trail today in which almost all of them were bison tubes. It was disappointing as I was wanting to trade some swag. I ended up just skipping the last 10 or so due to boredom.

I heard that some people will leave a dollar or something for the FTF.

Yea I've already gone through a entire town of geocaches. It kinda stinks when you don't have premium.

Hello! I'm Brandy and I just started geocaching around last thanksgiving. I have fallen in love with it. My fiancee introduced me to the game when we were in a state park pretty bored with nothing to do. I have since got a few other of my friends into the game and they love it to. I just bought my first track able and hope it will do well out there in the caches. Maybe i'll get premium one day. Who knows!

I have just started and was curious if anyone had really funny geocaching stories. I have just gotten into this and have went running with it. I think it's tons of fun but know it can lead to quite a book of funny stories. So go ahead and tell it!

I usually wait around until they leave. I'm not a fan of approaching people especially if it's in the woods. Although that is just me.

If it's non-law enforcement I usually just say that I dropped something. If it is law enforcement I tell them that I'm geocaching and whatnot.
