  1. Now that i think about it, Wednesday night has kind of morphed into trivia-night at Dale Lee's, so maybe Tuesday night would be better. But i totally endorse the Cassidy's event for the next time anyone famous comes to the crystal. I'm like McGruff the Crime Dog, except for the fact that i prefer jewish girls' butts over crime. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  2. Either day is probably okay, but to be a TRUE Wednesday night spike crew event, well, nevermind. [jurisprudence)] I'm there, either way. Those little deep-fried octopi are calling my name. Anyone know if there's a concert at the crystal either of those nights? Because it usually gets kinda interesting when the drunk girls walk by after the show... all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  3. Haven't read the story in the Big O yet, but i figure that it was found under the third tree on the left. And yeah, that IS a useful website, isn't it? I like the crime links. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  4. Ooh! Place one here! It's on the top of my "to-do" list! all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed

  7. Got it! Thanks to a certain puzzle-happy team of cachers, a new set of CDs will soon be available. Man, do i feel stupid. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  8. anyone remember those numbers from my "(instrumental version)" CD? For some reason, all the .wav files were erased from my computer. I have the cache coords, but i don't remember the other numbers. Without them, i can't make more CDs. If you have them, please email me privately instead of posting them here. Thanks for your help! Man, do i feel stupid. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  9. Are you going to spend any time on the coast? Because i just got back from checking to see if my Nehalem Dock cache was still there, and it is. Only one finder in over nine months! all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  10. I still think that Demonhead Flats is a must-do portland cache. Good puzzle, good location. I don't think i've done any good portland geocaches since april, so i'm probably not the best source. You can try my 2925, but it's looking pretty impossible nowadays. You can head out to Hood River and do the pipeline, since it's #3 on my all-time favorites. While you're in Hood River, maybe you could check out the Full Sail Brewing Company. The food's not all that great, but they're going to start brewing Henry's out there. It's nice to see Henry's finally get back to Oregon. If you're really looking to get 75 in one week in the portland area, then i'd go ahead and map out 65 easy beaverton/hillsboro/tigard/lake oswego ones for the first two days, then spend the next five days looking for 10 spectacular ones. I mean, how many times to you get to see this in tennessee? all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed

  12. quote:Originally posted by dasein: When Dragon's Lair came out, we were all mesmerized. How technology has advanced! Maybe you had more quarters than i did, but that game sucked total butt. That was the first game that required TWO quarters, right? As i remember it, you put 50 cents in the machine, then you saw about eleven seconds of cartoon, then you lost--through no fault of your own. i HATED that game. I'd rather play that weird 'Journey' game based on the band by the same name. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed

Few people know about this though, and I doubt many police know of it, so I'll carry a copy of the law, just so they know I'm not totally full of crap. Still, I'll only carry in extreme areas. So my Question is: Have any of you carried concealed without a permit[?] I don't have a problem with guns or anything, but i have to ask: why not just get the permit? I think it's cool that you found a loophole in the law and all, but it seems to me that you could save yourself a lot of trouble by just paying the five bucks or whatever. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  16. quote:Originally posted by Armando & Co.:I thought someone was carrying you! Oh man, i totally forgot about that: I DID carry slinger over the channel to the island so he could find that cache! I have a feeling that if i wanted to find 2925 NOW, i'd need slinger just to get me through the brush. If his Troubled Waters cache is any indication, he has no fear of murky water. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  17. I tried to get out to the 2925 cache today, but couldn't get past the channel. I'm thinking chest-waders aren't going to cut it anymore. Also, there are a TON of nettles out there. Even with my machete, i managed to get my arms stung pretty horribly today. Last year's trail is pretty much gone. I'm thinking that the trail changes every year as the fishermen follow the various game trails to the river in late june. I figure i'll try again sometime next week. If anyone beats me out to it, i've got a $25 gift certificate at a certain one-stop shopping center with your name on it. You can prove you've been there by taking a few pics, if you trust yourself with a camera near water. Someone should free that travel bug--it's been there for over 200 days now. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed [This message was edited by oregone on June 10, 2003 at 10:00 PM.]
  18. Congratulations on 100 caches; I can't wait to hear about the latest installment in your attempt to find 2925! Hope it's still out there... all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed

He goes around to all the (better-funded) schools in the metro area and does scientific demonstrations in front of school children--all while dressed in a funky lab coat and such. He has to talk a lot like Voss while he's performing, too. It sounds like a fun job: You know, dipping flowers in liquid nitrogen and mixing baking soda with vinegar in front of a bunch of 10-year-olds. I'm sure it would be a huge pay cut, but they're hiring again in August. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  20. After a year and a half of knowing you, fractal, i'm still not quite sure what it is you do for a living. Is this it? Or is it more like this? At any rate, i wouldn't worry about your employment situation too much. I'm sure someone will eventually make an event cache dedicated to it. all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
  21. Yup, portlandmaps is pretty cool. You can even get a satellite photo of my car on the site. Can anyone spot where the geocache is hidden in the picture? all rights reserved, all wrongs reversed
