  1. I managed to figure it out. Here was the problem: My computer changed the file to .xml when downloaded from my email server. In order to rename the file type, I had to go into "My Computer"/Tools/Folder Options/View tab/Advanced Options and uncheck the "Hide file extenions" button. After doing this I was able to type in the correct file extension (.gpx) and it loaded perfectly into gsak. Thanks for all your help guys!

  3. How can I change the file type? I already tried right clicking on it. That didn't work. Is there another way? I saved the file on EasyGPS as a .gpx but when I moved that file into gsak, all the log information was lost. Only the basics were there (like a .loc file). Thanks! P.S. I have also posted the same message in the gsak forums, but have not had any replies yet. Thanks again.
  4. For some reason, when I zip the files, I don't ever receive the queries in my email account. I had to send them unzipped just to get the query. Any other suggestions are helpful. Thanks!
  5. I downloaded a pocket query today but my computer will only download it as an xml format. My email account shows the file extension being .gpx, but when I go to save it to my desktop, the ony option it gives me is .xml. I have read that gsak will work with .xml files but when I try to open it up in gsak, it doesn't work. It will work with EasyGPS though. Go figure. Anyway, can anyone help? Thanks!
  6. New problem: The file in my email shows a .gpx format. However, when I download it, my computer will only save it as an .xml format. I tried to open the file with gsak, but it doesn't work. It will only work in EasyGPS. How do I get it to work in gsak?? Thanks!
  7. IT WORKED!!! I created a new query (because new ones are given priority), but this time I did not send the file zipped. I got the query in my email account within seconds. Good luck Wilkintj! Try doing that. Thanks everyone! Flying Elvis (Mark)
  8. I think Wilkintj and I are having the exact same problems. I know that the pocket query is working and it is generating a query. It generated one last night at 12:07AM. But still no email. I will try not to send it zipped and see if that works.
  9. I did the search option at the top of the page and it comes back with everything I want. The only thing different I have on mine is a 200 mile radius. Is this the problem?? Could it be that the file is too large for my email account. I am having it sent zipped. I will try to reduce my radius to 150 miles and see if that works. I'll post here. Thanks!
  10. Can anyone help me???? I just got a new GPS unit that has the ability to link to my PC and download waypoints. So, I decided to build a pocket query to download about 500 waypoints all at once. I still have not received a query yet! This is very frustrating. I know that geocaching.com has my correct email address because I get email from them all the time. I also know that I am building the query correctly and have marked the appropriate day(s) to run the query. The website stated that the query was generated but I have yet to receive anything. Any suggestions?
  11. OK, OK. I'm kind of new at this. I'm usually very good with computers, etc. However, I cannot figure out how to put my (cartoon) picture in the forums like everyone else. Can anyone help?? Thanks! Flying Elvis
