I second Mapopolis and GpxSonar. Just cached today without any paper.

There is a cache with an ammo box inside a welded rebar cage with a large 4 digit combo lock on it. It works.

I just recently connected my Toshiba 740 to a garmin IIIplus. I used a $10.00 adapter cable from Toshiba, USB to serial cable fro Iogear and the Garmin cable. That was the easy part. Finding the right drivers and getting them to work was the hard part. Finally, I found a link that had step by step instructios and the drivers needed. I now use my PPC in the car to get to the area with Mapopolis.

I downloaded waypoints to my Garmin III plus and only got the first letter of the name in the comments section on the GPS. I tried it with easy GPS and it worked fine. Any one else notice this? I was going to try to use GPS Babel direct but could not figure out how to do it.

Mapping wildland fire perimeters, bull dozer fire control lines and marking waypoints for water supplies, fire damage, etc. I also fly in helicopters to map the fire line.
