  1. I'm not into first to finds, only have one and that was on one of Toysoldiers , but can see why some would get a 'buzz' from it. Again I'm not really in to drive by's, but there good for a quick fix. The caches I appreciate more are the hard to get to ones, the ones that you need to dedicate a little time to. Say up a hard hill walk or in today's case crawled on hands and knees to. We're all different and the sport I'm finding is diverse enough to accommodate most of us The Mad MG's
  2. IF and its a Big if which handheld would be my best option. I'd like something that would work like a regular satnav in the car ( turn by turn), something that could wireless attach to the PC, detailed maps that show footpaths and bridleways, recharges via the car cigarette lighter, something that shows the cache info without the print outs and maybe play mp3's Basically I'm thinking a Tom tom - pda - ipod - bluetooth - os map - gpsr Sean and Sue
  3. Thanks everyone that's excellent. Printing off now and off to place them The Mad MG's
  4. I know I've seen it somewhere, but I can't find it. I'm after a link to the print document for micros. We're setting up our first cache so any other links for printable information to put in the cache would be great. Many thanks The Mad MG's
  5. Numpty = me, idiot All seems okay now and the snow in coming down. Theres always tomorrow
  6. I planned going caching this afternoon so connected my Etrex venture HC to the PC to load the caches I was hopefully going to get, but keep getting 'We currently only support Garmin devices'. Reinstalled the garmin plugin and still get the same. Any help would be gratefull. The Mad MG's
  7. Thanks for the info and advice, greatly appreciated. I will order a few TB and coins for travel soon, I was just unsure. I know it sounds silly about intruding when anyone can see the info on the here, I just didn't want to tread on anyones toes. P.S. The dog (Busta) never been so well walked
  8. A very good friend introduced us to geocaching a few weeks back and its become a popular family activity, but I'd like to know more about the etiquette of picking up coins and travelbugs before going further. We've had our failures and a couple of successes in finding caches, but I just sign TNLNSL cause I feel I'm intruding. IYSWIM. The kids have swapped little toys and I can travel over our area a good deal, so just asking whats done and whats wrong? The Mad MG's
  9. I'm very new to geocaching and spent last weekend happily hunting. One cache was near a site that discarded household rubbish, I think quite illegally with its waste lots of glass from broken greenhouse pains. In our team we have two small children and it concerned me to say the least. To find used needles sickens me, a threat I had never thought of TBH. So thanks for the heads up, its something I will remember when choosing caches to find. Cheers The Mad MG's
