  1. When do we get to see Septic Tank turn into Septic SHOCK!!!! Web cam please!! LOL Geocachers do it with coordinates!

I just wish they would offer a larger selection of items to choose from. I agree with this and more sensible shipping choices. I tried to buy 2 patches and 1 micro pad and the UPS shipping was more than the items. I will have to wait until a sweatshirt is available in those 'earth tones' suggested in another thread. 3. I am quite new to Geocaching having been on several cache finds with friends before getting into Geocaching.com and the community. I too feel it would have been a barrier if I had to pay up front to look at the caches we went to. I am now a premium member because I want to support geocaching and to gain access to the premium features. This should be the emphasis, access to premium features.
  4. Well, I guess I am a Camelbak fanatic. I have 3 and just gave my M.U.L.E. model to a friend. I just bought a BFM military or Maximum Gear model in desert camo.See picture below. I plan several excursions into the desert the next 12 months and this pack is perfect. I bought it from Team Shuey, great prices and service. Team Shuey supports Geocaching and has a thread in the garage sale area. The other 2 are a 2 liter Thermobak I use for yard work and fitness walks and a Motherlode that I now use around town. There are some great threads about whats in your pack or backpack. Search with the find tool. Good suggestions for what others see as necessary. I have added a couple items after reading these threads. Good luck! Geocachers do it with coordinates! 6. I have also used that tackie cleaning paper for fax machines. Run it through several times and it does a good job.
  7. My BFM has arrived! And just in time to get ready for a couple of caches this weekend. Thank you Team Shuey for your quick service and excellent support for Geocaching. As they say you 'exceeded my expectations.'
  8. OOPS! the cable connection went to sleep. And I got antsy. Geocachers do it with coordinates!
  9. What about a Geode of Cachers? Geocachers do it with coordinates!
  10. Is there a cache there? Why not! Iowa Rock

My buddy Rick was on a trail run at Rocky Point Trail (an infamous Simi Valley, CA hiking and dehydration area) and brushed against a large rock(size of an Humviee) with the Thermite. When he got home it was found that the leg tiedown had torn away from the top of the mesh where it attaches to the leg strap. Oh boy, here I go quoting myself. What is that 'a legend in my own mind' LOL. Anyway, I talked to Rick today. He decided to fix it himself after I forwarded this to him. He liked your idea to glue it since the material pulled loose from the glued/sewn area. He said he has been on 2 street runs without using the leg strap and it works fine. He thought the CD player might skip without it, but it was fine. He doesn't want to give it up. I told him to stay away from Humviee sized bolders! It is an example of how tough this gear is that the CD player is in one piece! Thanks for your followup.

I am a potential customer who was giving feedback on my experience with the website, that's all. As I stated clearly, it was just my opinion that it made the site less user-friendly. I see your point Sheggert, I noticed that too when I first went to the site. I then went to the Maxpedition.com site and downloaded the PDF catalog. Perhaps TnRonin might consider the 'property of' tags that people have added to prevent unauthorized use. A pain to setup though. Geocachers do it with coordinates!

When he got home it was found that the leg tiedown had torn away from the top of the mesh where it attaches to the leg strap. Do you think I should email them a picture? The mesh seems less sturdy than that on the OD Thermite I wear. Let me know what you think, Peter Geocachers do it with coordinates!
  14. Thanks for the info Leeman. I think I may need to get a couple of those. On a hike last summer, I put my motherlode Camelbak down and it decided to roll off the rock into a mudpuddle. Of course, the bite valve was at the bottom in the muck! I guess I needed some minerals in my diet. Let us know how the BFM works out,Peter

  19. quote:Originally posted by Team Shuey:HEY EVERYONE!!! I am bringing back the _geo123_ discount code to take off an additional 10%. The sales have slacked off with the weather getting cooler, but I know everyone needs a new CamelBak for Christmas! The prices on the web site already reflect 20% off the retali price, and the discount code is only available to geocachers so they can save 30% total off the MSRP. The _geo123_ code will expire November 14th, 2003. To use the code just select the product that you wish to purchase from our web site, and then add the discount code during checkout. .] Hi Team Shuey, Ok that is all I needed. The empress (my lovely wife) has authorized the funds for a BFM Desert Camo for my birthday! I tried checkout but Paypal did not work. By the way, as mentioned in a prior post, the price shows 131.50 before I click on it (That can't be right) and after I click it says $159.20. After the geo123 it should be around 140.00 + shipping to the Peoples Republic of California. I will email this to you. Thanks, Peter AKA Agreatscot [This message was edited by AGREATSCOT on October 05, 2003 at 02:43 PM.]

  21. Hey Team shuey, I am interested in the contest but my schedule has been maxed out like yours. Please show a sample or 2 if you can so we can see the direction you want to go with this. And save that desert Camo BFM for me, I intend to win! LOL! Peter AKA Agreatscot PS Did you see my post suggesting Geocaching Gloves? It could be good. But I don't know about a dozen at a time.
  22. Hi Mitch, Thank you, we will be looking forward to this. It sounds great. The Rat Wallet looks great, you might put it on the items on your site. Has your Geocaching group had that outing that was discussed recently? Peter
