  1. Hey! I was going to ask if Sadie was there or if she got left home, poor thing. but you had to fit it...
  2. Well, after 4 clicks and giving up at 9:40 last night, got my PQ this morning at 12:35a. Plus it's the current version so whatever is running the PQs is working ... somewhat.
  3. Well, notice a problem, hop onto the forums and see I'm not alone. Did Groundspeak take the weekend off, or will we hear something by Monday? For those who got it to work overnight or hours later, how many times did pushing the button or after how many hours did it finally deliver?
  4. It could be a couple things, none of which have anything to do with your email. If you are getting the No Results to your Idaho email, then that's working fine. No results means your query didn't find any caches that meet your criteria. Either something conflicts ie find a cache that's both active and inactive or the area you're in has no caches in the circle you've set. What's your other settings?

    ICON?

A Wherigo cache has its own icon, which is the Wherigo logo - blue circle with a white arrow. You can see it all over the Wherigo home page. More than likely they were talking about adding another icon to their list of Found Caches in their profile, along with the icons for a Traditional, Multi, Puzzle, Virtual, Webcam, Locationless. etc. I'd like to get that icon as well, but the closest one to me is over 80 miles away.
  6. This may be a mobile issue: Since the upgrade, I can no longer see the Log Type icons on the cache pages, nor the Cache Type icons on my Found Caches list under my account. Makes it interesting trying to guess if the last log was actually successful! Using Win Mobile 5 and Pocket IE
  7. Images being down aren't related to the upgrade. Jeremy made the announcement on this thread: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=200021
  8. YAHOO!!! That is going to be a highly anticipated upgrade for this user! Go Thom, keep plenty of caffinated products in stock and on hand! We're rooting for you!!
  9. FULLY AGREE!! http://wap.geocaching.com That's the mobile version of the site, though it too has improvements that could be made.
  10. Nate, and everyone else working non-stop on this, Thanks so much for your prompt responses to all our complaints/whinings. You guys do work hard, so thank you very much for working with us to find what makes us happy (HA!) and what keeps your site running smoothly and efficiently.
  11. Okay, after now having looked on this from a PC with a 14 inch screen and 1280x768 resolution everything looks good with alignment and formatting. However, on an XV6700 with 2.8-inch TFT, 65K color, QVGA (240 x 320) resolution, the formatting is terrible. The background white color doesn't show up at all, leaving the cache description black text on top of a green background. The logs have the white background, but they are in individual boxes with green spaces in between. I'd like the new change if the Geocaching grey box at the top and the Getting Started boxes weren't forced to the very top and very bottom of my screen and if they didn't push the rest of the page to the far right, forcing a scroll to read anything. If I can figure out how to do a screenshot of a phone, I'll post images.
  12. Has/Will the email issue been/be fixed? Also, the ability to change the date would be nice. Sometimes one may not have cell signal right then and may choose to log the next day, or forget to log a cache until later.
  13. Well, add me to not happy about the cosmetic changes. I use a Pocket PC w/ WM5 and PIE so I'm used to pages being screwy on formatting. But, GC.com formerly was useable regardless. Now the grey box at the top fills my screen, leaving the rest bright green. I scroll to the right and the page is really spaced out, but fits in my screen width-wise (green is hard to read this small), then scroll back to the left and all the way down to find the Getting Started box in line with the grey box at the top. The Getting Started has linked text displaying on top of the graphic. Something is causing a hangup in loading, it will quickly load 321 kb, then hangs for probably 5-8 seconds, then finishes loading. I rarely use my laptop for anything and don't use the WAP site since the owner isn't emailed notices of my log, so my phone through the normal site is how I access all aspects of geocaching. This new design really is un-user friendly for mobile users.
  14. Greetings!! You'll have to forgive the delayed response, most of us took a couple days to recover from GeoWoodstock last weekend and some of us just got home from a long road trip.
  15. Yeah! Cool! Okay, the good news is once you've installed Net CF, you get to leave it alone. It's not really a program, so you don't need to worry about opening or closing it. It just does it's own thing. Now, simply cause I wasn't really following earlier. I know you installed PlayerInstall.CAB and then uninstalled it. But it's still showing. Is it listed under the Remove Programs option under Settings? Yes? Remove Program. No? Cool. Is it listed under File Explorer under the folder you saved it to? Yes? Leave it. No? Copy the PlayerInstall.CAB from your computer to your ipaq. Confused? Let us know. Okay, what we'll do is reinstall the Player now that Net CF is installed. Go into File Explorer and find the PlayerInstall.CAB file. Click on that. The installation screen should come up just like it did for the Net CF. Just follow the questions on the screen. Once that's done, you should see the Wherigo logo listed under your Programs. If it's not, then we need to work out what happened. Let us know when you get this far and what happens.
  16. The way I remember it, is you plug your ipaq in and let it sync. Then, from your computer, double click on the net cf EXE file. It opens on your computer and it will install the file on your ipaq. You may need to click some buttons on the ipaq during the installation - just follow the screen questions.
  17. Its ok. You've got a good and patience teacher helping you out. Just remember we all had to go though puzzling this out before we got it working. You're doing fine. Ranger will help you through it.
  18. I'm not sure where to put this so, Ranger, feel free to move wherever. Just heard about another location-based game for Nintendo DS for folks in Japan, specifically Enoshima. http://veryspatial.com/?p=1979 Way to go, Groundspeak. Thanks for letting us be right on the front line of this great concept!
  19. Yep, been down since sometime around 6pm yesterday - the rant session is already going under the main geocaching.com thread. Sheesh, people get so irate over nothing 'omg, gc.com is down!! my life is over!'
  20. I do - cept for two days a week, and then the other three days I'm down here two hours a day to give breaks. So far I'm finding $8 is about average, with a few places offering $6. To give ya an idea, I've been working here for 7.5 years and I'm not even making $12. Which totally sucks cause the average studio/one-bed apartment is running from $550-$700. Yuck, sorry, no - I'm not into the oiled "look at how many muscles I have" body. I prefer brains and personality. Since I'm completely happy with my guy - if I had to pick someone on the island to hang with it'd be Jack or Locke. Hurm we should probably get this back to caching related - ummm Has anyone on here taken a look at Wherigo yet? Even if you don't have a Pocket PC with a GPS or haven't shelled out the money for a Colorado, you can download the Builder and play the cartridges on your computer using the Emulator. I've got a cartridge in the works, but at the moment it's sitting at a whopping 3MBs when the biggest cartridge online so far is a mere 1MB. I think I need to make up a "lite" version and then have the "monster" for those home-based players
  21. And why do I "just gotta drive to Reno"? Unfortunately, I have about as much chance of scrounging up the gas money as I do for getting the money to buy the box set. I wanna own these, not just rent them. I like the story line and man I would be INSANELY happy living on a semi-deserted island - even with wierdness galor. And I'll be rooting for whoever gets the game over the fastest. I'm not a "sports" fan and being forced to stare at it 8 hours a day really is annoying - and why am I 'forced' you ask? Cause the Pit has three TV's, two of which are pointed in my direction, Keno has two that I can see, the Show Lounge has the BIG ONE plus two others I can see, and there's a little TV on every pillar in the reconstructed area and ALL OF THEM show sports 24/7/365!!!!! I SO cannot wait until SOMEONE hires me!! I'm not asking much, just $12/hour!!!
  22. No Lost conversations please. I'm about halfway through Season 2and trying to figure out how to round up $50 for Season 3. But, Holly, I did see a license plate for you... LOSTNNV
  23. Just in case you aren't watching the whole West/Southwest Forum, hisgrace1 just started a new thread asking How is everyone doing?
  24. GAH! What is it with feet injuries this year? Good to hear you survived the flood, and that your friends house wasn't damaged too much.
