Many of the Florida hydrocaches listed seem to be archived or temporarily unavailable. These were *not* available:
Michael & Alex's Lake Cache
Kayak Cache
Hanna
Bulow No. 2
Rock Springs #1
And these are up but I wasn't sure if they are just accessible by kayak or if a bigger motor boat could also make it? Please be as specific as possible!
Deliverance
Lake Cache
Rock Springs #2
ka dog 'yaks
I am new at this, but we boated to two on Anna Maria Island (Bradenton area) yesterday:
Who Spilled the Beans
Myrna's Treasure Island
(a sea kayak could do these also)
There is another one close by that we didn't get to because we ran out of time:
Manatee Moonlight Madness Cache It says suggested kayak or canoe but I know a boat could get fairly close (I know about where it is), I don't know if a boat could use a dingy or wade to it if the last part got shallow?
There seem to be many on Longboat Key but I'm not sure if you could boat up to them as most don't say??? There are also several further North on Mullet Key (Ft. Desoto area) which I'm assuming you could get to via boat although we haven't done them yet.
Here is one inland on the Kissimmee River:
Kissimmiee River Cache
I think boats and kayaks can access this one.
As the previous poster mentioned, I also like the idea of adding 'hydrocache' into titles of water-accessible caches. I'll post when I find more FL hydros!
