Mongoriller

Yeah, a few days ago, I was riding my bike down a pier to see one of my caches, and I saw two people walking their dog. I saw the man look down at something, but I didn't know what it was, so I kept biking. On my way back, I saw them looking around and knew that they were geocaching. I told them that I was the cache owner, and they found it, and called me back and wanted me to replace it so they didn't drop it in the river.

I don't know if I am considered a lurker, but I hit the forums kind of a lot I guess. I go geocaching about every 2 or 3 days. At least I try too. I'm hoping to go to an event soon, and meet some other geocachers who I've seen on the internet and their logs. So yeah, that's me!

The only reason I did mongoriller is because that's what I do for every screen name on every website. I came up with mongoriller originally because I combined my last name and the kind of bike I had at the time, which I really liked. Originally, I was going to do mongorilla, but that got taken.

Have you ever used a muggle avoiding trick, only to find out that they were a geocacher?

The scariest thing that ever happened to me while caching was not that scary, but I will post it anyway. I was looking for River Stroll 2: Memory Lane in Pennsville, NJ, and I went the wrong way and was next to a crashing river in the middle of a huge storm about 100 feet in front of my dad and sister. He was yelling at me, but I couldn't hear him, eventually though, I heard him tell me to stay there, and I looked at my GPS and I was 1 foot away from the cache! He took another trail and caught up with me after I found it. We took the right way back, and as far as I know, I'm not dead. That was not a fun cache.

I haven't found extremely valuable things, I think the best thing that I've found is a small pair of binoculars at "Big One" in Haddonfield, NJ near Hopkins Pond. I'm about to place a monkey puzzle cache, probably in southern NJ or northern DE. I am planning to have a pretty valuable FTF prize for that!
