Held up for publication due to long hint
Space*Cadet replied to 4wheelin_fool's topic in General geocaching topics
I couldn't agree MORE! It kind of reminds me of the scene in "OFFICE SPACE" where Jennifer Aniston kept getting scolded for not having enough "BLING"! -
according to this website: http://www.notaboutthenumbers.com/2011/03/31/geocacher-magazine-a-cautionary-tale/ they are borderline for fraud!

Cool Coin! They just started selling the "silver" version on the Geoswag website. It states that they have a unique Icon, but in checking, on already activated ones on geocaching.com, they display a generic Icon?

Basic members can, and are allowed" to "log" premium member caches. They just don't have the ability to see the coordinates to PM caches.

very cool! How much will you be asking for them?

Rattlesnake at our cache location
Space*Cadet replied to alinraz's topic in General geocaching topics
We have encountered two rattlesnakes already this year. We had a early and very warm start to spring so the snakes are out early. We have learned that we just have to be aware of our surroundings and to have a long stick handy before reaching into areas that are obstructed by brush or rocks. -
Worst thing you've ever grabbed while searching?

What you probably found was Raccoon poo! They will usually defecate before climbing to their tree nest. -

I once grabbed a lizard that was sunning itself on top of the cache, when I reached for it! I was relieved it wasn't a snake! -

my next guess is Morning Glory. Morning glory species belong to many genera, some of which are: Calystegia, Convolvulus, Ipomoea, Merremia, etc. -

My guess is the Purple Coneflower Genus: Echinacea -
Technically this TB is owned by JEEP and so therefore cannot be owned by anyone else. Therefore the Seller does not have a right to sell it on EBay. For $20 no less! Report it on Ebay!

I had that thought too, JB! Ya, how would you know, no one uses their real names. Most we will never know, but somehow we manage to find out some of them. Besides, maybe they will be famous under their caching name! OMG! Get Real!

well...for those of us who live in America...It's a free Country and so we are free to do what we want with our OWN geocoins! As long as the guidelines allow for deleting old logs on a geocoin then I see no problem with it. It's only an Icon FGS!
-
It appears this too, is Wrong?!?!
-
WRONG! This only apply's to Geocaches Not Geocoins!
-
Well on used cars one is not allowed to mess with the mileage. According to Eartha, this coin had traveled ZERO miles so it had no mileage! There was only a few boring discoveries from a single event. There should be an option when adopting geocoins, to delete all previous logs without notification being sent to previous loggers, that their log was deleted. This would stop the hurt feelings.

Where is a "Thumbs Up" when you need it?
