  6. No problems here with the CSx either. Works like a dream, providing you adhere to the points above. OK, that's two that work . I'll have to try flashing it like Chris says, but it's not a particularly old unit, if it was a firmware problem I would have thought they would have sorted it before I bought it. Rgds, Andy i dont have a problem with our vista etrex hcx compass it works fine and always points in the right direction
  7. why are you turning around just spin it around in the palm of your hand or a flat surfice then try it
  8. We love doing the countryside trails and circular walks, it really doesn't make any difference to me if they are micro's or smalls, for me its the location and enjoying walking a few miles as opposed to getting in and out the car continously for caches placed along roadsides etc. I have just done my first 8 cache multi along a 4 mile circular walk , 6 are micro's , 1 small (half way round) and 1 small for the bonus. Hopefully the best of both worlds a mixture of the two !!
  9. Not sure if this has been asked before but i was just wondering what you all keep/have in your caching bags. 12. Hi I have purchased a track a bulldog geocoin and activated it. We wanted to keep this one for ourselves to log in and out of caches to accumulate miles. How do i log a coin in and out of a cache on the website? I have logged it into a cache we visited this morning but i dont know how to log it out so it doesn't show on the cache page as being physically in the cache. Any help would be much appreciated Thanks
  13. Thanks trucker Lee, i have now got my stats on my profile page
  14. Hi I have noticed that quite a few people have all their stats on their profile page ie FTF's, graphs, counties, etc etc I have downloaded cache stats and logic weave but when i try and download the pocket queries then i only get 14 finds come through when i have 84 finds upto date. How do i get this to work ? Also i have noticed a few people use itsnotallaboutnumbers.com for their stats is this site better or easier ? Im not brill with the pc so simple terms would be appreciated ! Thanks in advance
  15. It was me that got into Geocaching first but now hubbie enjoys it just as much , it took him a month or so to come round to the idea of walking round looking for treasure and even our son and chocolate labrador come with us on some expeditions too
  16. Mine like many is very self explanitory, my first name is Lorraine but people call me Lorri and my middle name is Ann hence Lorri-ann !!
  17. I wish our fuel prices in the UK were as cheap as yours in the US ! Our fuel is 107.9 per litre at the moment and still set to rise this converts to about $2.14 per litre. There are 3.7 litres in a gallon, so we pay about the equivalent to $7.91 per gallon !!!!
  18. Im in Northampton and it woke me and hubbie up, it was the horrible rumbling noise then the birds singing then followed by a deathly silence. The bedroom radiator started rattling and bottles of perfume/deodorant on the chest of drawers started to shake too. My 12 year old son slept through the whole thing much to his disappointment !
  19. I am new too, and it took me 4 attempts to find my first cache and that was for a regular size lol ! I know how you feel as it is very frustrating, but keep trying and you WILL find it , Good luck
  20. Thank you for all your help and advice, we went out twice today looking for the same cache but unfortunately with no success We will definately go and look again, maybe 3rd time lucky
  21. Hi I apologise now if this is a silly question and it is probably staring me straight in the face somewhere but........ The time on the posts etc is 4 hours ahead of our UK time, does anybody know how i can change it , i have looked and looked but cant find where to change it . Many thanks
