  1. Does anyone know what the clock timer is for on the Etrex 20 geoaching compass dashboard? Mine now says 28 hr 46 min and counting. No guessing now please.
  2. At least they should fix the Beta maps so we can see the Premium Member Only caches. We do pay to see those.
  3. I ran a My Finds query yesterday afternoon and still nada. Three hours after I ran it, I ran two other pocket Queries as a test and they both came in within minutes. So where's my My Finds query hiding?????????? I surely don't want to wait another 7 days to see it fail again???? Maybe an e mail to Groundspeak is in order.
  4. Looks to work OK for me after I emptied/deleted my browser files and history, deleted the geocaching bookmarks/favorites and created a new bookmark/favorite on Mozilla and IE7. Fixed the map problem on IE7 and Mozilla. Google Chrome also works OK with the maps.
  5. It's 10:40AM in Arizona and no PQ e mails here either (again).
  6. Spotty at best in Arizona. In the last 2 days, 5 new caches and I received e mails on only 2 in my set radius of 30 miles. Go to your notification setup edit page and you will see this: Please note: This is not a substitution for searching the web site. You may miss some logs due to site maintainence, bugs, or lunar eclipses. As the first one to know you may know too soon. So consider yourself forwarned. Looks like they don't know why it doesn't work. Lunar eclipses??? Might as well include solar flares and the stock market fluctuations.
  7. Can anyone confirm the new PQ's are getting through?
  8. I tried yesterday and again today with no luck. Just simple one time only pocket queries. I did e mail Groundspeak a little while ago before I seen the posts. It is obviously a problem on their end.
  9. Heard from the repair team via e mail and this feature appears to be working again. Can anyone else confirm?
  10. Does anyone know how this problem will get fixed? Is there another means for notifying Groundspeak? I e mailed them a couple days ago but no response. I am using IE 7.0, Windows XP and tried two different PC's and both accounts. Same thing everywhere. I just became a premium member too and the next thing I know is stuff that worked no longer works. Go figure!

  12. I am having the same problem and it is frustrating. I am, however, able to right click on the cache name in the area to the right of the screen and then click on "open" to get the cache page up. Then if I click on the cache page map when done, I can get the popup window to work again until I move the map around. This just started acting up Sunday and I hope they can fix it because it does look to be a site problem.
  13. Hi, You can indirectly input longitude or latitude values into your C330. You can send cache files to the C330 via your PC from geocaching.com by using the "send to gps" button. This sends the L&L coordinate data to your C330 and puts the cache ID in your favorite places. I just tried it with my C330 and I can guarantee it works. I did update my C330 to the latest software which is version 5.70 prior to trying this. I didn't try the transfer before the software uptade so I cannot say it will work with the previous version. This is the system operating software, not the map software. The C330 will get you close to the cache (assuming the Navteq maps used in the C330 are accurate) and then you would have to use a GPS that reads out the coordinates so you can zero in on the location. I haven't tried this yet in real life so I am just making an educated guess that the C330 won't get you close enough in all cases. I just received my new Garmin etrex Venture HC from Walmart. This unit looks to have the basics for geocaching including its supposed to be "geocaching ready". It was $130 plus shipping and tax. I chose Walmart so I could easily return it if I wasn't happy with it for any reason. Tomorrow I will try a couple hunts and see what happens and also see where the C330 stops me.
