  1. I found an exploded pen in a cache today that was an intresting find, I was very upset it got all over my hands.
  2. I have a Garmin Rino 110, I think I want a eTrex Vista HCx now but I don't know.
  3. So would a 5 year old GPSr vot work well also? Please say yes I really want another GSPr but I have to convice my self that theres a need.
  4. Theres no limit, well there is if the world becomes over saturated, meaning that there is a cache every .1 miles every where.... that will never happen. There is a limit to where you personally can put it, you can only place a cashe in the area you normally cache in if I cache with in a ten mile radius of my house I can't place a cache 50 miles from my house.
  5. I look for a gap in the trees above my head so I can figure out where I'm trying to go. This one cache I found was probably impossible to find with a GPSr I'm just glad I remembered the picture of the cache site.
  6. I can't download waypoints onto my GPSr because you need the cable that cost $50 and you have to have an ancient Windows computer to connect it to and I'm a Mac person so I don't have an ancient Wndows computer.
  7. That would be a cool idea for a new cache website or cache type having morphing caches that change camo/size/location/etc with every find.
  8. I think the problem isn't just junk but people take more than they leave, or don't leave anything. This narrows the possibilty that you'll find something of intrest and makes it less fun. For example that cahce I previously mentioned was a large ammo can, it had three small items in it, I can't imagine the person who placed it (who has more than 3000 finds) would start a cache with 3 items.
  9. I've found a bikers against child abuse pin thats about as intresting as it has gotten. People are just putting junk in cashes its too bad.
  10. I'm glad taxpayer money is being used well...frisking geocachers what else would you want secret service to do?
  11. I beinga paper-cacher and manual coordinate enter-er don't worry about these things I can call them whatever I want and write that in my notebook. Also my waypoint names can be up to 10 characters.
  12. I have been dissapointed in a couple of recent caches they have just junk, I went to one and it was a large ammo can it had a few small "American Girl" buttons and a "Spy Kids" ruler. There was all that empty space what a disapointment.
  13. You could make a multi-cache that people move when they find it. When the move the cache they put the coordinates to the new spot in the old spot. Its like a cache blob it gets longer and longer with each find.
  14. I don't think its that big of deal I signed out to see these ads and I could care less. I say put them on premium accounts too if it helps pay for geocaching. Seriously would you rather have a couple of ads or no geocaching?
  15. There should be a group or club of cache unjunkers.... I'd join. I hate cache junk it's so annoying.
  16. What I do first is simply search by key word, if you were looking for Yellowstone I'm sure theres a cache in Yellowstone with yellowstone in the title. After you find one at Yellowstone look at the bookmarks to see if theres a list of Yellowstone caches. Then go back to the first cache and click the google maps link to view a map of nearby caches.
  17. I don't mind if there are mispellings in the descriptions I read, I probably don't even notice.
  18. I don't find caches all the time but when I find one I totally forget the DNFs.
  19. I would just tell a muggle I lost something and I'm looking for it. If I said something outrageous they would probably guess I'm lying.
  20. There are at least two caches in my area that require boats in my area that I can think of. I think its a good idea, it frustrates me, but its a good idea.
  21. Is the camo attached to the container or is it just place around it at.
  22. Old house? Maybe you should always wear your GPSr on a lanyard so you'd never lose it, like the tons of people that where memory sticks.
  23. I live in an area with a lot of highly active cachers that will jump on a new cache before I even know about it. I think its fun just finding it and I feel no need to race.
