  1. I just put in the description on mine..... "you WILL need tweezers to remove the log from the container!"
  2. X2 If you don't like the style of hide.........DON'T SEARCH IT!! Some of us do!!
  3. We use a Garmin E-trex Legend "C" LOVE it!!!!! Color screen, compact, good reception, good battery life!!
  4. I would say just post the distance involved in the multi. Then the cachers can decide for themselves if they want to do it.
  5. Check out one of my favorites!!!! Taking A Swim At Higgins
  6. It takes all kinds to make up this world, doesn't it??!!
  7. I like it too!! Would use it as a reminder of what ones I need to go back and try again!!
  8. I use the M515 and love it!! Ebay for $60 w/all assesories. Using Cachemate on it. Very happy!!
  9. CITO!! However like last responce said, it would have to be able to do it discretely as I often geocache with my 14 y/o daughter.
  10. This is my favorite. My daughter and I with our very first find. Gotta love the "quality time" this activity allows!!
  11. I have been caching for 6 months with 176 finds and 2 hides. 1st one hidden for 3 months. Due to it being in a public park I keep replacement cache on hand. Had to replace it todayas the cache had a DNF and I went to find it missing. That's why I like to keep mine close to home.
  12. I would post a note in the logs about your experience. Then other cachers can decide weather they want to seek the cache.
  13. Large ammo box at army surplus here is $9
  14. We've looked over 45 minutes before. Simply because we knew it was there somewhere! My 14 y.o. daughter hates to log DNFs.
  15. Last time I was at Disney I learned of a game similar to geocaching on Disney property. It is called "Hidden Mickeys". Basicly you buy a book called "Guide to Hidden Mickeys" or something like that at a Disney store. It gives you locations and hints to find hidden Mickeys (the classic round face/ears). We had great fun doing this on property there are tons of them and similar to caching!!!! You get points according to the difficulty. Try it!!
  16. I started to write down each find in a diary. But, so many finds.......gave it up. Just take digital pics. of the most interesting/memorable finds and put them in a "caching pics." file on the computer.
  17. Love my Palm M515! Running Cachemate on it with GSAK on the PC.
  18. Icenrye has a great videozine. I am working on watching the whole series as I am relatively new to caching.
  19. I have left coupons for free Coke 12 pack in my first cache. I am going to do the same in my 2nd cache. We do the "coke rewards" and get the points from Coke caps. Only 100 points to get a coupon in the mail, no cost to me, refreshing reward for the finder!! Also leave a FTF certificate.
  20. Both get the job done. I find the color easier to read. I personally use the Garmin etrex Legend C LOVE IT!!!!
  21. Used my GPSr for navigating on the road and out 2-tracking in the woods. Said something about it to a guy at church. He said ever try geocaching?? He gave me a geocaching.com card. I took it home, checked it out. 7 weeks later: Premium member Palm M515 running Cachemate running GSAK on the PC A cache pack with all the necessary items. 64 finds 1 hide (yesterday)! And best of all my 13 year old daughter loves it!! Great quality time!!!!!!!!!!!!!
