  1. I had the same issue, also with Chrome. I have disabled the Chrome extension "Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer (by Google)". And now I can see profiles again.
  2. Pffffff, I eventually managed to get my gold coins for our Monday caches. I had to delete and recreate all of the 10 logs...
  3. And even worse, after having tried to change the date to 18/7, my caches are still not counted for the Mary gold coins... What can I do to this ? Do I have to recreate all my 10 logs ? NB: I have logged via the GSAK application. But till now, I have never noticed an issue with that to get the previous souvenirs.
  4. Sorry but I have logged 10 caches on 21/7 (I had no internet before that day) with date 17/7, and still have no Mary gold coins... Even after having re-saved every log. Very disappointing.
  5. I would like to come back on the Profile part, that is now hidden in the last About tab. Groundspeak HQ says that only 2.4% of the active users are filling some info there. This is not my own experience. I have looked at profiles of the geocachers having found my multi TdB Auderghem. More than 50% have an About tab that is filled with info they want to share with the community. I understand that my calculation is not statistically correct. But the difference is huge... So, please, bring the About tab as the default, for all people having made the effort to fill information there. Thanks, Philippe
  6. My main concern is that the "profile" tab is no more the default view, so that all stories and specific stats that we have created to tell something about us is now hidden in a rather invisible "about" tab. Specific stats and storytelling is part of the game. It could be that only a little percentage of all players have customised their profile, but what is this percentage among the serious geocachers (the ones with more than 1000 finds, eg.) ? I'm really disappointed by the new "profile" and hope that a customised profile will find his place back as the default tab.
  7. Sorry, I had not found the other thread. I'm going to it. Thanks.
  8. The new Public Profile page has just been launched. What do you think about it ? 9. Incredibly slow here. Just unusable.
  10. Je moet gewoon naar Play/Pocket queries gaan en dan a pocket query creëren.... Ik begrijp niet waarom het niet zo lukken...
  11. Il y a bien dcode.fr qui est en français, mais pas sous Android.
  12. Question : are bonus caches, at the end of a series of caches, a kind of challenge cache ? If yes, are they still acceptable, as they could be in contradiction with rule 10, saying that a challenge cache cannot be based on (a list of) GCcodes ? And do we have to build a challenge checker to publish such bonus caches ?

You could try to repair the Garmin disk. Connect to a PC with the USB cable. Then right-click on the Garmin entry in Windows Explorer. Then Properties / Tools / Check Disk.
  14. We can wonder when other kinds of puzzles will be forbidden too ? The ones asking for research on Google Street ? The ones referring to Wikipedia ? And what about the coordinates checker ???
  15. Pour Bjorri. De temps à autre, le chargement des caches depuis le .ZIP rate. Mais ce n'est pas systématique. Par sécurité, je vérifie toujours que les caches sont chargées avant de partir en expédition.
  16. Hi Nathalie, First you have to be premium member on geocaching.com, so that you can prepare and download a pocket query. Download the query ZIP file on your PC. Then, with the eTrex, you should have received an USB cable. Connect the eTrex to the PC using this cable. Please note that only this Garmin cable will work (a normal USB cable won't work). Then open the Garmin "disk" in Windows Explorer. Look for a "Garmin" folder. And then inside this one for a "gpx" folder. Now, open a second Windows Explorer windows and look for the pocket query ZIP file you have downloaded. Open the ZIP file. Inside it, you'll see two GPX files. Copy those two files to the GPX folder of the eTrex. That's all.
  17. Mmmmh, may-be that the format for the coordinates is not correct. Mostly, results from a multi or a mystery are in degrees minutes and thousandth of minutes.
  18. Hi, You can always find the caches that you have found, archived or not, on your profile or via the MyFinds pocket query. DeepPurple
  19. Indeed. And the GSAK tool has many more capabilities. See at my profile for a few other samples. The sky is the limit (what is not true for elevations... ).
  20. Indeed. I use Gsak intensively to publish stats on my profile DeepPurple. For the Souvenirs, I have created two sections. One for the chrono-souvenirs, related to a specific date, and one for the geo-souvenirs, linked to a specific place, country or state. This way, I have full control on what I want to publish on my profile. GSAK is very easy to use, and a lot of very powerful macros have been developed by the users community.
  21. I use GSAK to manage my statistics. This tool gives me all the flexibility I need to choose which souvenir I want to display on my profile and how.
  22. Maar alleen de naam van dit website is voor mij een vogelschrik.
  23. Same here. The Geocaching site seems to be down. Or at least not responding...
  24. I have upgraded to V8 by mistake, as I had not realized that it is a paying version. I'm rather angry against the GSAK editor, as the fact that V8 is a paying version is not advertized clearly when upgrading. Worse is that when you upgrade to V8, all your databases are upgraded too, and are no more compatible with V7. So, it is impossible to go back to the free (already paid) V7 version without loosing all your work. The only way I found to get out of this nightmare is to delete everything and to start re-installing V7 from scratch. NB: from following replies, I understand that I could have restarted from the backup databases. So, may-be I have been too fast in deleting everything...
