  4. That's what the maps and POIs in my GPS are for. Really now, do you plan all your bathroom and snack breaks before you leave home? No but it does give me an idea of the area I am going to and it it easy to print these maps and the OS plug in for GE makes it even easier. 20 minutes at best to import a PQ save to Tomtom another 10 carry Tomtom as well as Garmin Ridiculous GE 3 minutes the lot.

  10. You could simplify this process somewhat to: Get the coordinates from Google Earth Put them into the Pocket Query form Dig the query out of your email Drop the GPX file onto Google Earth Still not as easy as a tick in a box is it. Dave
  11. Dont do it or you will be hooked and spend the rest of you life trying to find more :-). or just enjoy the great sport of caching Dave
  12. The Google Earth kml has been discontinued in the latest round of "improvements"
  13. I will add my disappointment at the loss of th GE kml I guess its a case of the powers that be cant be bothered if only a few use it (and that is a suprise as it is a very usefull tool).
  14. Perhaps try and contact some of the other cache owners in the area and see if they would be willing to rescue the coin. Nearest active cacher owns GC18FZ5 and is called pôlli and was last online Monday, April 13, 2009. There are closer caches but the owners have not been on since 2007. Dave
  15. The temporary disable should only be used for short periods of time usually weeks rather than months so I would not consider PP request unreasonable no matter where they live. Also I dont think it could be changed to a virtual as these are not allowed anymore AFAIK. Edited typo Dave
  16. You may like to look here http://support.Groundspeak.com/Support/ind...&nav=0,5,10 Dave

  20. Discover the beauty of the natural environment and take special care not to damage, destroy or remove features such as rocks, plants and trees. They provide homes and food for wildlife, and add to everybody's enjoyment of the countryside. 22. I would sugest you check google earth for a cache near to where you are staying and then create a PQ bassed on that then upload this to the Garmin. Maps may not work but the compas will point to the caches Dave
