  1. Who would have thought... over 666 Views. It is apparent that I should have included northern NJ owers/hiders of caches in my initial praise... but that will have to wait. Right now I am too busy trying to reach 900.... and adding another state to my 39.
  2. Did I forget to mention... it's now 39 states!
  3. Just post the time and place... I'll be there!
  4. Go Neil Go... #600 is great!
  5. Joe, did she say when on Sunday?
  6. While you're at it Joe... how about a few in Floral Park.
  7. Congratulations on your #500 Roy... a great achievement.
  8. For sometime, I have wanted to express my thanks to the wonderful people who place caches on Long Island. They do this at considerable personal expense (never complaining about it); a lot of personal time spent on research, shopping for necessary items, cache placement and maintenance...sometimes even being criticized for their efforts... often only receiving a simple “thanks” in the log entry. There are over 500 caches on the Island and many, many people are involved... so at the risk of offending by leaving someone out which I do not intend to do on purpose... I particularly would like to recognize JMBella, Bayonets4u, Macatac1961, Squealy, Cat-in-the hat, M&M, WRR, Blackbuck, Eons, HatesMilk, Czarniecki314, and my wife InkyCat. I met each of you and consider all of you as my friends. Moreover, I above all thank JMBella for the large number of well thought out caches placed and his leadership in planning Long Island Geocaching events. My Geo-thanks to each of you.
  9. Congratulations Pete on your 600th find. It is always nice to meet you on the trails. Hummm... I think you are closing the gap. The race to 1,000 is on!
  10. Congratulations to M&M on hiitting that 500 milestone... and in NV... one of the states on my "to do" list.
  11. Congratulations on reaching this great milestone... 500.
  12. Sorry to hear of your heavy loss.
  13. It was my pleasure meeting you at the Beer event... I wish you well and happy caching in Europe.
  14. I'll been looking for a very special cache for my 1,000 find... and this could just be that "special" one.
  15. Congratulations on reaching that great milestone of 500... have a lot of fun with your next 500 finds. Good luck, Neil.
  16. I vitually always leave a WG$ no matter what (unless I forget or there is no room... which isn't often). The WG$ I take I always move to another cache... unless I need to buy something and only have WG$... then I spent them on whatever. This method has worked well for me... I have a George score of about 850 in one year. Puts me in the top 100 for NY. On a recent trip out west I left 35 WG$ in caches... I didn't find even one WG$... and so far I haven't received one hit on the ones I left. Guess those cachers aren't into Georging. But at some point I will no doubt follow StayFloopy's newly adopted method... have to save somewhere since my new converged PDA/Phone and accessories are pricey... but it will allow me access to the Internet from just about anywhere and accomplish my goal of truly paperless caching.
  17. Congratulations on your #400... enjoy the next hundred.
  18. My congratulations to Skigirl for hitting 100... have a lot of fun on the next hundred.
  19. I guess I had one too many beers last night... There is another thread on this important topic... and I even posted to that one. I think I am going to switch to whiskey!
  20. Let's have a race to 1,000... and remember it's not about the numbers...
  21. Hey thanks Syncore... that is really cool. Leaving for NJ early tomorrow for a few days... I'll play with it when I get back. Thanks again.
  22. Can't seem to find the spot on their site where I can do what you memtioned: Put in the directions... get the coords.
  23. That's some serious caching, Mac. About 2.4 per day. Congratulations! But remember... it's not about numbers.
  24. Avro...Thanks for giving me more reasons to spend my time in NJ. Looks like these missions will be a lot of fun.
