  1. Hey All. First of all, very first post so would like to say hello to you all! I discovered Geocaching a few years ago but didn't have a GPSr at the time. I did a couple of caches just by studying maps etc before heading off but put it on a back burner. Now I have a GPSr, me and my other half are really addicted! We use a Tomtom 520, which coupled with GSAK, is very handy. Only drawback seems to be the Tomtom does snap you back to the road if the road is too close to the cache, and it seems to not get a great signal in cover. Apart from that, using GSAK to generate POI's is great, and the export to HTML is handy too, if we need any additional information on the ground (eg clues etc!), we can navigate to the document reader on the Tomtom to access the database generated from GSAK. So, since we only have a day off together rarely, we prefer to do caches which are 'Drive by' so we can maximize our time and do as many as possible. For us, it's much more fun to do a cache quickly then drive off to the next one. We've been tricked once or twice when one that looked close to the road turns out to be a half hour slog up a hill! Any tips on pocket queries? I was maybe thinking something along the lines of - terrain equal to or less than (x) but I'm not sure what the scale equals. Would be great if there was something along the lines of, terrain less than (x) and distance from nearest road less than (x)! Would be great if there was a 'Drive By' Marker! Thanks, Andy
