Moin moin, Naja, warum auch nicht? Vielleicht hat er ja ein nettes Versteck kreiert und es geht gar nicht so sehr um das alte Gelände. Ich meine es liegen ja nun oft genus ganze Serien nah beieinander, da wird es bei 4 Stück auf dem Gelände doch auch möglich sein dem Owner entgegenzukommen. Für mich liest sich das jedenfalls nach einem recht großen Gelände. Warum sollte man? Ob es sich hier um ein nettes Versteck handelt, ist ja gar nicht gesagt und als Begründung alleine, um eine Ausnahme von der Abstandsregel zu machen, reicht das ja nicht aus. Ein originelles Versteck kann ja jeder für sich reklamieren. Gruß ColleIsarco

Hi A-Team, Your problem is caused by something other than Gmail. It displays just fine for me, and I'm even using an old browser (IE 7). I can see the entire email, right down to the footer at the very bottom. I live in Germany and are a large number of new caches and events listed in each newsletter. In last one there has been 325 Events and 637 new Caches. Are these numbers comparable to Yours? I'm using FireFox 15.0 as browser and it has now problems showing the complete newsletter after extracting the original RFC822 text and converting it to HTML-Code. Regards ColleIsarco

Any news on this issue? GMail does not show the newsletter any more since it is to large. It is unreadable now, the text stop in middle of the list of event-caches. The plain-text version did fit the restrictions and was shown in full length. This is annoying, I want my newsletter back! Regards ColleIsarco

Moin moin, Danke für den Link auf die Bilder. Ich glaube, in diesem Fall kann man die Entscheidung, diesen Cache zu archivieren, ohne Problem nachvollziehen. Insbesondere die Kombination mit dem Schild kann zu unangehmen Mißverständnissen führen, auch wenn der Baum kein Naturdenkmal ist (Wovon ich angesichts der angeschraubten Metallplatte einfach mal ausgehe). Da spielt es meines Erachtens auch keine Rolle, ob eine Genehmigung seitens des Baumbesitzers vorliegt oder nicht. Außenstehende können gar nicht wissen, dass diese existiert und was das für eine Außenwirkung brauche ich hoffentlich nicht lange zu erklären. Gruß ColleIsarco

Moin, Hm, Groundspeak betreibt die Plattform aus überwiegend kommerziellem Interesse. Warum sollte der Community dieses Interesse verwehrt sein? Nur mal so als Gedanke! (Mir gefällt die Idee auch nicht. Da spendiere ich lieber dem Owner eines guten Caches beim nächsten Event eine Hopfenkaltschale als Anerkennung.) Gruß ColleIsarco

Moin moin Werner, ich bin auch kein Jurist, aber ich interpretiere die TOU genauso wie du und ich bin mir relativ sicher, dass unsere Interpretation sehr nahe an der Wahrheit liegt. Auch wenn einige das nicht wahr haben wollen, wer Inhalte (nicht nur Bilder, sondern auch komplette Cachebeschreibungen) bei Groundspeak einstellt, tritt alle Rechte an ebendieses Unternehmen ab und gibt ihnen die Möglichkeit diesen Inhalt beliebig kommerziell zu nutzen. Hi, until last week the weekly newsletter from Groundspeak has been send as a plain text mal like i configured in my account details. But today it i received a HTML-formatted mail. And furthermore I can't decide which format i want the newsletter to receive like in former types. Please bring this feature back! Regards ColleIsarco

Moin moin, das ist einfach nur die Folge eines neuen Trends: Wird die Dose nicht gefunden (auch wenn sie da ist), wird einfach eine neue hingeworfen. Fälle dieser Art habe ich schon mehrfach beobachtet. Meiner Meinung nach liegt das auch daran, dass manche einfach zu dumm sind um den Sinn des Spiels zu kapieren. Es geht eben nicht darum, einfach Wegpunkte abzulaufen, sondern darum, ein von anderen verstecktes Objekt zu finden. Aber auch daran, dass so mancher Owner, der der Meinung ist, dass die Wartung seines Caches ist durch die Community durchgeführt werden solle. Die (gedankliche) Konsequenz von `Wenn das Logbuch voll ist, dann tausche es einfach aus` ist: `Wenn die Dose weg ist, dann lege einfach eine neue aus.` Und da meint es mancher (Nicht-)Finder einfach nur gut, wenn er eine mitführte Filmdose irgendwohin klemmt. (Will sagen: Nicht immer ist die Gier nach dem Punkt schuld, sondern manchmal auch die "Erziehung" der `Altgedienten`.) Aber man weiss ja was das Gegenteil von gut gemacht ist... Gruss ColleIsarco

Hi, I've tried clicking the "No Thanks" link, but it just takes me back to the cache listing and the widget is still there the next time I view a log. Is this supposed to hide the widget? If not, what IS its function? I've chosen not to link my account to Facebook or Twitter, so I'd rather not have to look at a useless widget every time I view a log. Yes, I know it's at the bottom of the page, but why have it if I've chosen I don't want it? If it's there just to remind us that we can link the accounts, a small "Connect to your Facebook and/or Twitter accounts to share with your friends" link would work just as well without being as intrusive. Minor, so please fix the other bugs first. Bug fixes should always come before tweaks or additions. Use GreaseMonkey or ABP to get rid of this annoying widget. Works perfectly for me. To be honest, I didn't try the `No thanks` button because i did not expect it working correctly. Regards

Close Your browser Start Your browser again and use the bookmark linking 'http://www.geocaching.com/my/'. Here You can inspect Your cookies and You fill find out that Your userid is valid in this session only. Close Your browser again Start Your browser again and use the bookmark linking 'http://www.geocaching.com/my/' and voilá: You have to log in first to this page. To make it clear: The bug won't appear immediately on Your next login but on the 2nd next login. Regards
