  1. Hey there, people near Van. seem to not like leavin the roads. I did a cache just before Squamish about a year back that had been in place in excess of a year (maybe even two). We were FTF. Just happens.
  2. Hi there, i'm a good old cannuck cacher working on a bit of a hunt. For it, i need a piece of information at 11 S 634964 East and 4362835 North. It is a plastic GPS tag, and it will have a number on it. i need this number. The tag is glued to a rock YOU WILL LIKELY FIND OTHERS TRYING TO GET THIS SAME INFOMRATION. All i can say in my defense is i'm asking first, and if anyone could get me this info and emial it to me, i would be extremely grateful. It is a race, so the faster the better. i can be reached through the geocaching website. Thnaks in advance nomaddante
  3. Hi there, am hoping to do a couple caches that begin at UBC, but finish up on Vancovuer island. For these, i need to following and would be grateful if someone felt like grabbig me the co-ords and emailing me. 1st- a large rock weighing several tons a bit north of UBC's thunderbird stadium. There is 'suposed' to be a GPS tag on this large rock. (GCA4ED) 2nd- A sign somewhere on UBC property that reads "Paprican". Across the road from this sign is a large concrete pipe. On top of it, look for a red tag. What is the tag number. (GCB226) Any assistance would be appreciated, as i won't be out to van. any time soon. cheers

If you go to GPS Central right now, they have the extrex legend refurbished for about 200$. They come with 1 year warrenty. i had one but lost it, so have to get a new one. There is also a 30 US rebate being offered by GArmin right now, which is about 45$ canadian. i emailed garmin, and this does apply to refurbished units. So long and short is that you can get a legend for about 150 or 160. A pretty good rate if you ask me, since posted new is usually in the 220 range i believe
  5. Hey..me again just tried, and no such luck. Again it was bounced. hope you will be willing to email me directly so i can send these coordinates to you. If not, let me know here and i'll just have to archive the whole cache and start over. cheers nomaddante

  9. DO they not have "general delivery" in Australia. In canada/us..you can send a package to a post office as general delivery to a person, and they come in and pick it up. It is for people who are traveleing or don't have a home base. Anyhting similar? If not, maybe the direct connection will have to work
  10. Hi friends, hoping someone can help. i picked up "Liwi the Kiwi" the otehr week in Victroia, BC. The goal of this bug is to make it to Australia, which i didn't think i could help with. Then i remembered..a co-worker of mine leaves for Melbourne later this week. She is willing to take the TB with her, and right now the plan is to put it in a envelope and leave it at a post office as "As general delivery" for a name like "Australian Geocacher". My hope is someone will step up and pick this bug up and continue it's jopurney. Or, if there is a better way to do this, let me know so i can implement it. Though unconventional, i thought this would be a way to use a post office as a temporary cache. Thoughts or ideas, or someone who is wiling to get. Post here or let me know via email. Thanks in advance
